Mental thought

    When I think of hitting the shuttle really hard I miss it but why
    maybe I stop concentrating by thinking of hitting it hard


    P.S. it is meant to be MENTAL THOUGHT

    The prob is thinking!! Using ur conscious brain to hit the shuttle. Isnt it funny how the shots that are easy and you have so much time on are easier to miss. This is cause you dont react to it but tink about it first and then hit it.

    U will play better when you just hit it instinctively rather than consciously thinking about it.

    I usually don't think about it but sometimes I do and then I miss it

    Thats ur answer. The sports person strives to play as much as possible without thought, with his subconscious brain or is it unconscious brain (can't remember), this is where the magic takes place where IN THE ZONE takes place. The problem occurs when we think about what we do cause the conscious brain hasn't the same capabilities as the unconscious brain.

    The unconscious brain has limitless power, can do millions of things at a time. Right now, its keeping u alive by moving the blood by contracting the blood vessels. Its moving the heart. Its creating millions of electrical reactions in the brain to keep you alive. Its power is almost limitless if you know what I mean!

    The conscious brain can only do so much. We learn using the conscious brain but once a skill is learned enough, it sinks into the sub or unconscious brain where it just happens. We don't have to think cause we know how to do it through repetition. This is where an athletes power lies!!
