Footwork is the most important part, work on your foot work / reaction training
improve every single shot, shuttle placement ( the shuttle can go exactly where you want them to go.. )

How do you work on your reaction then? I react really slowly if my opponent is deceptive, causing me to take the shuttle too late and I'd get controlled by my opponent.

for reaction training... I think the better way is Ghost training...
ask your friend or brother to point to you where you should go on the court... just six point on the court..
Front ( left right) , Middle of the court (Left , right) , and Back court (left Right)
Make sure every single shot you back to center.

    30 shot as 1 set. . .
do it as quick as you can on every shot..
