WHat do you guys think about this? Both players looked impressive in this tournament thus far. And i'm more surprise with LCW winning his matches earlier on in the 1st and 2nd round respectively, despite reports said he's injured. In 2moro's quarter final, LCW will face BCL while LD will face his nemesis, Park Sung Hwan.. Let's wait and see 1st..
ANOTHER THREAD LIKE THIS? 1)When this happens, usually one of them will decide to crash out in the next round or so before meeting each other! 2) This loves to invite LCW and LD-haters! Do not be surprised if LCW crashes out to Bao Chunlai next. Tago isn't a real test.
What's the problem if another thread like this? Come on, think positive. Let's talk about this. Or maybe we would jinx them?.. i hope no..
I don't see anything new, tons of discussions - so thread can be closed by mod I think, nothing will be new for anybody LOL
Because LCW got back injury. The NSI doctor said they advised LCW to limit certain type of shots so that dont aggravate the injury. And to retire anytime in the match if LCW felt back pain. So.....for all we know tomm, LCW play2 half way, ouch.... have to retire liao. Other than that, this type of threads, perhaps jinx or sthing, sure end up one of them listed will lose before they meet.
I am impressed with LCW form and from the score doesnt indicate any injury/ No?? anyway i hope he will win, seriously, and wont come out with excuses that he injured his back again go Datuk....
i bet lcw still injured...that why he dont play2 with any of his oppenent so far...but if he met with opponent that can make him stretch his physical limit...i doubt he can respond like he usually can...
Historically LD achieved much more than LCW. But this year, 2010, LD did a poor job, but still comparable to LCW. Both of them lost 3 matches this year. LD lost to BCL, PSH and Gade. Unfortunately, all those 3 players are still alive in the draw. That's the hard part for LD, he has to fight PSH, then Gade, then BCL to win the title, while he lost all and only those 3 players this year. LCW lost 3 matches too, he lost to Sony, Taufik and guess who's the 3rd? It's LD in the Thomas cup. So the good thing for LCW is that both Sony and Taufik no longer in the draw, so LCW should be easy to get the final, while LD is not. But once both of them meet in the final, then LD will have advantage against LCW, because he just beat LCW recently this year.
wow. so sure ? yup.. i don't see LCW got any problem with his injuries in his matches thus far.....hope everything will be smooth till the end
Nelson boy, this thread title is not 100% of what will happen.. This thread is just meant to discuss whether LCW-LD Will meet in the final of the japan open? The possibilities, percentages, side news, juicy gossips, trends, and other behind the scene or never heard b4 news can be shared here regarding this 2 players towards the final
You are dwelling on the past and the past has nothing to do with the present...the gap between the top players are so small that if LD or LCW are below form while their opponents are on fire, they could get smoked I watched BCL last night...Bao was aggressive, attacking like LD of old, macho looking, fast, no more playing like a WS player while LD was playing like BCL of old, netsie play, rally, drop and hardly smash Did they switch identity?
your points taken. I noticed the same. BCL has been trying to change his style for a while, and LD is wondering what's the meaning of life now, Like Boris Becker did before. Another interesting thing to watch in QF, is the team survival rate. Indonesia sent a huge team with nearly 40 players, now only 4 players/pairs left. And China still have 14 now. Here are the numbers for this round: China: 14 Korea: 7 Denmark: 4 Indonesia: 4 Malaysia: 3 Japan: 3 Taiwan: 2 Macau: 1 Thailand: 1 Vietnam: 1 Korea did pretty good so far, but the question is how many will be left after tomorrow? Can they have just a normal 50% survival rate for this round? sounds difficult to me even though they are the 2nd best team.
Is it possible that Korea, the 2nd best team, lost all their 7 players/pairs tomorrow? Statistically it's a 1/2^7 chance, only 0.7% (less than 1%) chance, but I think it's likely to happen.
