As u guys know, the strong earthquake and TSUNAMI are hitting Japan currently.. will japanese players in all england withdraw from this tourney? or continue playing for pride for their country and themself? what u guys think? Will their mind focused on their match? besides, i dont think they can go back to their country that fast as Japan's 2 main airports, Haneda and Narita had been shut down..
Ya, it's a schocker. 8.9 magnitude! It's all over the news channels. I hope the players will continue. Their WD are doing well in this AE.
It must be so hard to play when you are worried about your family and friends back in the country. But I would like them to continue playing (and hopefully) win titles. They have fantastic players and sport would allow them take time off from this agony.
The city of Sendai, Miyagi, has been one of the hardest hit by this mega-earthquake, as it is the closest. One of the top high schools for badminton, St Ursula, has a branch located there. Misaki Matsutomo, Ayaka Takahashi and probably Yu Hiruyama, among others, studied in the school. Granted that Sendai is not their birthplace, and so probably do not have any relatives, yet they probably have many friends who are residents.
pray for Japan Q___Q Hirayama did not play AE this year. maybe she was in Japan, when earthquake happened. hope she is fine now Q___Q
Ai Fukuhara was also born in Sendai, but she has gone to stay in Aomori, where I think they do their centralised table tennis training .
I suppose they will try all the more harder, to honour those who have been affected by this catastrophe.
