CCC CATS (Coaching And Training Session) fee (member/visitor) . It's great that 6 trainees have already booked in. I am still getting emails/phone calls from visitors regarding the fee/cost of attending our CATS (Coaching And Training Session). Answer : The fee is $20 for each CCC Club member per session. For each visitor, it is $25 per session. .

Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 04-Aug-2013 (A Short Report) . Here is a short report for our Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 04-Aug-2013. We thank trainees for removing themselves from our 'Booking List' when unable to attend; therefore opening up vacancies for new trainees wishing to join us. Reminder : If you are unable to attend, kindly remove your name ASAP so that others can replace you, otherwise you will be fined. Why? Because there could other CCCers wishing to attend (checking to book in - up to the last hours), but finding themselves missing out after we have FULL HOUSE. We welcomed 2 new trainees : 1. Shree-R (from Sydney) 2. Veerendra-R (from India) Hope that they had enjoyed our CCC CATS. At this session we did the lesson on the 'Backhand Overhead Strokes'. Some comments : * When you can use the 'Forehand Overhead Strokes', don't use the 'Backhand Overhead Strokes'. It's easier to hit the shuttlecock by moving your palm forward than backward. Besides, you have a better view of the court when doing the 'Forehand Overhead Strokes'. * Have your 'Point of Contact' at about 11 o'clock; so that your shot can be flatter (and the shuttlecock can travel further). * Learn the different 'Footwork' taught. * While returning to 'Base', hit the shuttlecock (that is, transfer your weight towards the net when hitting). * etc, etc, ...... I feel that some trainees are still not understanding the lesson taught here. Please ask me questions next session (to answer any doubts that you have). Comments on our 7 attending trainees: * Timothy-T is doing well. He has done this lesson before (It's a good revision). * WaiKin-Y is doing OK, but 'Footwork' needs to be quicker and smoother. * Tracy-T has strengthened her wrist action quite a bit since she first started training with us. Well done Tracy !!!. * Amy-T needs to control the 'Shining' of her racket face more accurately. * Maggie-D's trajectory of the 'Clear' is too high. It needs to be flatter, so that the shuttlecock can travel further. * Shree-R, being new, is doing OK in her first lesson. * Veerendra-R, being new too, is also doing OK in his first lesson. Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 11-Aug-2013 is at the back of the Table Tennis hall . Because of the disturbing overhead lights in the Table Tennis hall, we shall work mainly on 'Footwork'. There will be lots of running and/or dancing. Things you will need : * bring your good shoes. * wear thicker/double socks. * bring your drink water bottles. * bring your towels to dry off. * extra shirts to change later.
