They will go to taipeh Open...last week, they are officially Pelatnas pair, no more as Djarum pair......
Rian-Yoke are seeded contenders now Yes, Rian-Yoke are going to compete in 3 straight Far-East tournaments as a member of INA's National Team, under Coach Sigit Pamungkas. I heard that they are happy with Coach Sigit as they see him as a supportive and fair guy... Hope both are fit enough to sustain the grueling 21+ days schedule... Rian-Yoke will still represent PB. Djarum during this November's 2009 National Championship and the (possible) December 2009 Superliga Badminton. One thing that can cancel the Superliga Badminton is if the Super Series finals eventually got finalized. The planned schedule almost overlap. Rian-Yoke are: #3 seed in Taipei Open Gold GP, expected to meet #1 seed Boe-Morgensen in the semifinals #7 seed in Japan Open SS, expected to meet #1 seed Kido-Hendra in the quarterfinals #8 seed in China Masters SS, expected to meet #3 seed KKK-TBH in the quarterfinals Looks like the Luluk-Alven combo is over... We can most possibly say hail to INA's next #2 pair, Rian-Yoke, within one year... But they have to work on it! No pairs [either INA or non-INA] will make it easy for them to become INA #2... Note: there is a big big possibility that Tony Gunawan will indeed retire after this 2008 fiscal year... he has said so privately. Thus, there is a slight [5%] possibility of a Luluk-Candra pair emerging... Those 2 old foxes can still compete and become INA's #2 highest ranked pair if they do decide to get together...
Well, I have full confidence of their ability... Yet, anything indeed can happen. Nevertheless, my money is on our pair.
hmm...ur pair opponent is the one whom beat guo/xie in SGO...and reach semis i think...^^... and stretch koo/tan into 3 sets in penang open and almost beat them...... lets see who's md better...^^...
Rian-Yoke have been practicing with Kido-Hendra in the last month... You tend to get better when your practicemates are the World Champs, Olympic Champs, and World #1 ranked pair... Oh, their other practicemates [before any official announcements of any split, we assume they are still together until today] are Luluk-Alven who are the #7 ranked pair on Earth... With these kinds of practicemates, I expect Rian-Yoke to be even better than before... They can realistically reach top 10 sometime around May 2009...
Yes, I admit badminton won't be as fun as today without our MAS neighbours... MAS [in MS and MD] is always around... sort of like Italy in soccer... INA is like Brazil, of course... We don't win all the time, but we are always there to entertain the world with beautiful badminton... Just watch Rian-Yoke play... they are fun to watch...
nope...u should believe me...but i tot score should be close and in 3 sets...hmm......dunno... yes...we will always meet...^^...
attention... rian/yoke will meet tan wee kiong and razif abdul latif again at china master 2nd if mas pair manage to beat another mas junior pair in 1st round...... prediction please...... i still think tan/razif can win...
to rian-yoke: best of luck in japan and china!!! to limsy: no, rian-yoke will win for sure, with my support!!! mwhahahaha...
I start to wonder too... but I will wait until the end of this year to fully think so... Gotta give Sigit Pamungkas & Rian-Yoke to adjust...
But I thought TPE Open is their debut after re-entering Pelatnas? Can't judge that they're jalan di tempat only with a match. Hope that they can avenge their defeat against MAS youngster who beat them in China Masters...
