Guess Eric has to update his posting on ebay. Still says W25mm I was wondering why I was changing racket grips every so often. It's because my brother also plays and we share rackets so it was getting about 4 - 6 times of use every week. Otherwise it'll be 3weeks + before I change the overgrip. On the + side if I want crystal clean white grips every weeks, RKEP grips are cheap enough to regrip very often
tried the tackier G9 over the weekend. played 12 pretty tough consecutive games. the G9 did pretty well. it was slightly cold as we played in the morning but the body warmed up very fast. i change shirts maybe twice during that time. the grip did well, i started getting bothered by sweat on the grip after around 6 games, after which i had to keep wiping it off. the tackiness stayed throughout. given the pretty low cost of the RKEP G9/G10, they are good choice for people who prefer synthetic grips. we cannot expect perfect sweat wicking from this type of grip and the above scenario is probably the best we can expect from it. the choice between G9 and G10 is purely left to personal preference. the G9 is stiffer and very tacky (even more than Wilson Xtra Tack) and the G10 is softer.
Hey, what happened to the g10? Was looking for it on rkep eBay site, but they only have g9 and g11! Anyone know? Eric?
We plan to stop to offer G10 in order to avoid confusion between G10 and G09 --- only G09 and G11 from now We still got some G10 in stock --- ask me if you are interested For G10 in the future, we accept pre order (delivery in 2 month) with minimum requirement. We also launched a totally new type replacement grips G06 POWER MASTER grip It got RUBBER like hand feel --- could firmly gripping the racket even with sweating hand
Eric, thanks for replying! Since I got you here, your website says that g9 is slightly harder feel than g11? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Also, is g9 similar to g10 in feel and tackiness?
Both G9 and G10 are similar except that the G9 is more tacky. I also find that the tackiness stays longer and the grip generally lasts long on the G9. G9 is my preffered grip from now on.
G10 and G11 are both not tacky enough for me. they do not perform well at all (for me). my grips tend to get very wet. i've only tried the G9 once. can anyone confirm if the G9 is actually better than the G10 and G11 under extreme sweat?
Tks kwun and what07! Gonna order 2 dozen G09 now, just in case Eric decides to discontinue it in the near future...
They will not discontinue the G09 (Elite) over grip. It's their best over grip as well as their best selling one.
Just like cloth, each one got his own preference. I can't tell you will sure like POWR MATER better, but normally who prefer a more gripping power could try this new grip. The possibility is very hight that you will like POWER MASTER. I plan to set up a listing on e-Bay for a combination of all our racket grips (1 each of G01 G02 G03 G04 G05 G06 + 1 each G09 G10 G11 over grips) to let who is interested in RKEP grips try all kinds grips at super easy price.
just picked up some ultimate/nanos/elite and going to order some power master initial feel on all of them is great looking forward to trying them out on court. the grip market is pretty slim in northern ontario . sportchek at 1 wilson overgrip and no replacement grips. so i think these will be a big hit with my friends and local high school badminton team. cory
I reread this whole thread, didn't seem to pick up whether this earlier question was answered so I'm gonna ask again: Which of the rkep grips is most similar to karakal pu super grip? note the nano 60 etc, but their flagship super girps
