well said, thats the point I wanna highlight... not wrong for him to use fancy shots as his weapon, and is wrong to brand KKK with fancy shots only, and without fancy shots, KKK can still survive with his tight defence and retrieving shots when laying on the floor.... thats make him different from other MD of course if retrieving smash on the floor does not count as fancy play lar....

but end of the day, what most of us claim is right without those fancy shots, we will never remember KKK...the showman of MD...his arrogance and self- confidence makes him the star of MD....when it works is very entertaining...but if backfire....it will be annoying
I didn't review all the parts but a quick glance at 3:13 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WW-QjlAZ8Q a simple backhand net will force chinese to lift, why the forehand net fake, the front chinese player will still be hovering around the net whether kkk net or lift. It's a low percentage shot, just look at how far the shuttle bounce out from a net shot.
Sadly, its backfired more than working.......... Most titles they won were without or lack of top 3 pairs......... They even lost the SSFM to XC/GZD.....in 2009 crashed out without have to play LYD/JJS... But its great to see them winning again.....now they played with more urgency especially in the SF and Final....in crucial moment.
To go fancy or playing it safe? I believe cooler asked the right question, could KKK with TBH would have won more titles had KKK do away with all the fancy stuff? If we look at the best of the best in the business like Christian Hadinata & Ade Chandra, LYB/TBY or Rexy/Ricky ... any of them during their playing days indulged in fancy showmanship on court? Personally, I dont know cos I never had the chance to see any of them in action. The current top 3 i.e. LYD/JJS, FHF/CY and MK/HS ... as far as I know dont exhibit any fancy play on court. Yes, KKK/TBH is the best MD pair we had for sometime, question is could they have won more if KKK's playing style is a little more restrained? Anyway, I watched the final yesterday. It was indeed entertaining. Question is what is more important, winning titles or being entertained? Personally, I rather go watch Houston Rockets than the Harlem Globetrotters.

Yes, that was when TBH and KKK throwing their recquets to the fans.........after they won.... I was there but cant catch the recquet.... There were 4 recquets, 2 lining and 2 YY in that area.....no luck for me...
Smart Fancy Play Is The Answer KKK must be smart and know when to apply fancy play not fancy play all the way...like in SF...most of his net play doesnt work...ZN/CB is ever ready in front of the net to kill the bird...so he must know when to fancy and when not to....sorry to say that, but the more he made mistakes, the more he wanna play fancy to prove himself...correct me if i am wrong
How about 5:51? Should that be considered fanciful play? Will his chance of retrieval increase if he scrambled and tried to get in position?
Sorry, i said most of them, not all.........and thats only 3 of them + Swiss Open 2009 beat CY/FHF...out of those titles they have won......... Like i always said, they are good, have great potential........but.....lots of short comings....
there are more, French Open 2007 beat MK/HS to name a few... i do not think they have many shortcomings... just a tiny line seperate them from the other 3 pairs....
i didnt view all the video, i just random click one, part 6, and look for the first one. at 5:51, it wasn't a fancy shot, just a double dare net shot close and directly in front of your opponent. It has to be super tight or else, opponent will eat your lunch, like in 5:51 case.
