Peter Gade - too old and exhausted to be able to give the top 2 players a fight.

Taufik Hidayat - see above...and even in worse condition than Peter Gade

Chen Jin and Bao Chunlai - injury prone and even when fit, they could only beat Lin Dan or Lee Chong Wei in a handful of times. Bao will probably stand better chance than Chen, who could just bow out of badminton faster than we thought due to his injury perhaps ???

Park Sung Hwan, Chen Long, Nguyen Tien-Minh, Jan O' Jorgensen, Sony Dwi Kuncoro, Simon Santoso, and Boonsak Ponsana - inconsistent mid-table players who will only be able to beat the top 2 if the top 2 are caught in a bad form.

Frm what I've observed, LCW can be beaten by middle rank players ,such as NTM; BP at any time
However It will become tougher from now on for other China MS players (except for LD) to beat him.

JOJ is slowly and steadily on his way to replace PG as European No. 1; Park SH still considered a class below Bao; CJ and same level with Sony and Simon.

Taufik, hopes he can still enjoy his badminton as PG does.

i still didnt get ant respond for u after i take photo with chou chia chi(in photo thread) which u asked for her photo:mad::crying::p;)

    hmm
i found this interesting than kkk 'fancy' play
why there is people who actually calling kkk bastard and he watch kkk match?(the last post of page 16 this thread)
they know they will be angry/hate/dislike koo 'fancy' play, and they still want to watch it
if u dislike his play, just switch the channel;)
or just ignore him when he is on court;)(which is imposible:p)
    is that hard?
what for getting urself mad, angry, frustrated or heart attack when u know(before the match) that u will get it when watching kkk play?
it is like pay people money and ask him/her to hit u on the face;)
this is a good sample for me to do research for my thesis maybe:p

well, me saying kkk going fancy again isn't coaching, it was my observation. Even gillian clark made comments on kkk's 'over confidence' shot making. I am not critical of kkk's fancy shots, in fact, as an observer and someone who is rooting for kkk/tbh's opponents, i like seeing KKK making fancy shots, it entertains me and in this case, gave guo/xu a run in points. It's all good if KKK go fancy, ok?

    hmm
for someone who is supposedly highly-educated, you obviously fail to realize or refuse see past the collective meaning of what i meant as 'fancy basterd' when i was commentating in earlier pages.
in case you failed (yet again) to pick up, i was supporting MAS players and was critical of all silly mistakes, by all players and not only MAS players.
please step being so narrow-minded and tunnel-visioned. and just enjoy the game like everyone else.

there're other threads for criticizing individual players.

    cheers!

Instead of retaliating in this way, I think being more tactful and extra careful in choosing your words will earn you more respect.

IMHO, using that "swear" word is nothing to be prove of regardless of whether you are or are not highly-educated.
Regarding whether you have the "collective meaning" or "collective motive" behind your choice of word, only you can tell because we can't read your mind and we certainly can't judge from your facial expression through the internet. Please also bear in mind that you are posting in a public forum and there are chance that kids might be reading your post. And it is your responsibility to post with courtesy in a public forum where anyone from anywhere could come across your post.

True, there are threads for criticizing individual players but that doesn't make your act right.

thank you for your consideration in advance. cheers.

Fancy & Win OK! BUt if Fancy & Lose that's not OK!

But KKK is like that, that's the nature of the man... if He dun do fancy stuffs... he will not be able to what he do best...

He should join the Lodon Royal Circus then. I am sure he and Bobo, the chimpanzee would form an ideal partnership.

KKK is lucky that his fancy play work this time...
eventhough from what I see, in Semi, ZN/CB
caught KKK net play few times.... and Guo/Xu
also not afraid to play net with him....
if KKK insist on fancy net play next time,
i doubt he will be so lucky eveytime...

All the negative remarks against the the tournament referee are valid and his decision not to call 'time out' and sought medical treatment for Bae Youn Joo are just ridiculous. It portrays poorly on BAM, the organizer of the 2010 MBO.
Wang Xin won by default and it is not an honor.
I have to salute Li Mao for raising the standard of the Korean women's singles players and in no time, I think, the Koreans will win the women's singles super series titles.
I wonder how he converses with his charges; Chinese or Korean?

    :crying::crying::rolleyes::rolleyes::):)

ZN/CB are still rookies while Guo/Xu are like 2nd tier to CY/FHF. If KKK/TBH is playing the likes of MK/HS, JJS/LYD or CY/FHF all those fancy dancy stuff may backfire. It worked yesterday and the fans were well entertained, may not be so the next time against better opponents.

i was quite disappointed that a player, like BYJ in this case, can't get a pause of game for adjusting/adding on support tapes/strapping which may take up 2 minutes. It was the final match for *&^% sake, not some 1st or 2nd rounder rookie who may want to buy time. Was the stadium under a tight prebook schedule for other functions??

case study: 2008 MO WSF, zhu lin vs TR
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OomWB6UJ1nk 3:45
denmark coach call for referee ~4:30, the 2008 MO referee look like the same person as the 2010 MO referee, why the inconsistent standard?
TR got back on court ~7:30, 3 minutes delay. The audience got to see a great match.

Of course no badminton fans can forget the 1997 WC between sun jun and peter R. Twice delay of game (without referee decretion) for medical attention but we know this match turn out to be 1 of the all time classic.
