It is durable, to me. Just look through the reviews. All users say the same thing about ZELMs being durable. I remember forum member weeyeh ever posted that he was swinging his pp9990 at home and he broke his wall lamp, but the ZELM was safe. Let me find the post.
i agree however the finishing could be smoother. racquet is tough! although i have yet to whack any my house lamps. haha
if u are refering to zelm us, i would rate control at 7/10. it would get 8/10 if it had more feel to it. frame is stable and the stiffness allows me to perform accurate shots, ie good control.
I think no matter what rackets we use, it really goes down to the fact that we have to get used to it and also at the same time, improve our own skills to better the control. I don't deny that I feel certain rackets are easier to control when I first tried them but having good control over the shots we execute in a game still relies on what I stated as above. Its true that I found the Ultimate to be slightly difficult to execute certain shots sometimes (if that is how we determine whether a racket's control is good) but the power it gave me was quite stunning. Right now, all I can do is to play more, practice more, get used to the racket and improve my consistency with that racket. My point of view is that if I have a less stiff/head light racket, I may get the "control" I want. However, no matter how much I try to improve my smash or increase my strength through training, the racket is really limiting the power. That was also the reason why I change over to Ultimate. If its for better control, I believe it can be trained overtime and experience. Just my 2 cents, hope you don find my POV insulting or anything >_<

To anyone who is thinking of getting a Ultimate, dun be put off about it being stiff+. Although it is rated as stiff+, it is quite easy to use. Compared to my Cab20 SP or Apacs Z Spark, its actually very usable due to the way the head and shaft is shaped. Edwin
