Flexible - like the AT600 it replaces. http://translate.google.com/transla...www.yonex.co.jp/products/badracquet/vt60.html
Today as a spectator watching the BWF I went outside to look at the rackets, I picked up the new Voltric 60 it is light, Head Heavy - Even Balanced, the paint job is very similar to the Voltric 80 I had a few swings of the racket, it feels really good it cuts through the air well.
i expect the VT60 is like a upgraded version of AT600. with more new technology in it. less easy to break and looks prettier (in my opinion) just like a softer version of the VT80 as the AT600 is softer version of AT700.... for the MX70, its already out in HK. just 1 or 2days ago. not sure abt the price, havnt ask yet.
My Voltric 60 is 4U G5. Really like it. I wanted something like the Arc8DX because of the Hold and Heavy Heaviness but the stiffness of the 8DX was to much for me so I bought the 60
Currently have a Voltric 60 in my hands, but I'm hesitating if I want to keep it. It's a 4U G4 version. Seems there are no reviews on the internet about this racket and there is less interest compared to the VT70 and VT80. Is this racket worth to collect? Also don't like the fact that it's only available in 4U.
Looks nice, but I don't see the point for this racquet when you can have better for cheaper in the same range, with very similar characteristics and less soft: VT7
Considering it when it's worth it. It came pre-strung with BG65 which I really hate. If I'm restinging it, I have to keep it. If not, I can still sell it, so I'm in a dilemma.
Since you bought it you must have wanted to try it so give it a shot! You might like it.I'm sure you can sell or trade it if you don't like it.
Still doubting if I want to keep it. If so, I will restring it, but if not, I want to sell it untouched. It came pre-strung with BG65. But since nothing is wrong about a quick comparison, here is some info. First look, paintwork is good, but not expecting something else. The colors and details are not so advanced as the VT70 and VT80. It's much simpler: The shaft has the paterns of the VT80, but not with the myst spray on it. Furthermore, the shaft is the thickest among the tree rackets. (Yes, I'm an idiot so I really measured them) Another comparison of the T-joint section. Nothing special. The only standard is the myst on the sides of the blades and the paintlines pointing out the Tungsten inserts: Here a comparisation of the different Tungsten inserts at 10 o'clock. The VT60 has the thickest shaft but also the most flexible shaft of the three. So I wonder if it's from a weaker/easier construction (cheaper). The blade has the same design as the VT60 and is very thin. As for the balance, it's also the least head heavy of the three. Because it's so head heavy, I would have liked a 3U-G4 version which is my favorite. I wonder if Yonex is planning to sell a lot since there is not a lot marketing around this racket. There is also nothing to announce about the used techniques or material. Expect this racket more suited as allround racket.
Yonex releases recently has been relatively 'cheaper' here in malaysia except this vt60. eg. arcs8dx compare to arcs10 or even arcs7 arcs9fl to arcs9 vt80 to at900 Hopefully this trend will not continue to soon to be released NR series.
Cannot edit the post anymore, but I mean the blade of the VT60 is the same thin design of the VT70. Here's a picture of the blades:
The VT60 has got a different frame, wider than VT70 and 80's : Aero Box VariFrame like the AS003's one. In fact it is a pure Yonex tennis frame adapted to badminton.
