I think all LD fans, myself included, have to accept the present version of LD, a beatable one …. slow, not explosive and not very deceptive. The only aspect of the old LD we can still see is his uncanny anticipation of his opponent’s shots and his own accurate shot making and net play. Pranooy got drawn into LD’s game today and tried to rally with him. That caused him dearly. Had he played like the way he did against JOJ in India, using fast relentless attacks it could have made a difference and we could have been entertained to a better match. Just my humble observations.
Good game by Prannoy, I wonder why he did not attack like he did against JOJ in Indian Open. LD class class.
Poor Aswini ponnappa. Had she partnered with sikki reddy, atleast she could have won some titles at the end of 2014 (i mean international challenge titles). She decided to join hands with always talkingcrying jwala which will definitely leads to zero.
He tried that in the 1st game and ran out of steam I think. Managed to penetrate Lin Dan's defence on several occasions with his cross-court smashes. But Lin Dan read it after a while and simply took the panther out for a stroll in the end.
Yes AK is prepared to run and fight for it. If she quickens the pace by more pin-pointed attacks, AK has a chance to beat LXR. But so far AK's attacks have not be as effective, but her running has distracted LXR, haha. 14-all.
I think Li Xuerui may not be able to catch up with Yamaguchi in time to take the match... she's clearly not ready to be back. It's DEFINITELY not the Li Xuerui we once knew... Prannoy may have lost the match, but it looked more like he was studying Lin Dan style, than attempting to beat him. Just my observation! But I'm am very sure Prannoy's game will be changed after this valuable lesson of learning Lin Dan's skills.
No problem sir. I meant the doubles department of india.. Really bad. This pair is top pair (saying so) . But see their progress. Nothing. They are aiming for a medal in olympics..
Oh we have LIVE TV at home. Very critical time for both, but AK made two unforced errors to let LXR lead 19-17.
All over for AK for making the blunders and LXR took advantage to 'kill' her in end. But it is inevitable that the talented youngsters are closing in.
