Maybe waiting too long for the WD to finish has lulled them, Huang/Zheng, into torpor initially.

what a contrast. now the INA pair cannot even defend some simple smash.

maybe it is a matter of pacing. like running, do go too fast at the start, otherwise, will run out of gas.

Good win by the young Chn pair.
All my predictions are correct except for the WS, I honestly expected more from HBJ.

WJC and now their maiden senior title, a GPG, both at age 18/19, Zheng Siwei/Huang Kaixiang.

That kind of doubles is very easy to watch, fast and furious from start to end.
    No time wasting at all.

Never give up, will to win and playing every shot well - that's what HKX believed is how they turned the match around after the G1 loss.

Double winner for golden boy Zheng Siwei - champions in XD and MD !

Yup, INA MD had brilliant start but couldn't balance China speed at decider, something about fitness level.

Well done for this 18 years old boy to grab two titles here!

Well, match of final day is none but WD which spent exactly 100 minutes, what a thrilling duel! Solid defense and accurate attacking smash by Japanese pair, too bad they lost the momentum in game 2 but they didn't give up at decider to push Xia/Zhong moved corner to corner, overall credit for both pairs, really entertaining :)

XD, WS and MS practically were straightforward matches, Saena Kawakami stole the show as she clinched first major title to overcome favourite Chinese opponent, Kawakami has better court coverage than He BJ who often flat-footed at front court area. As predicted Lee Hyun Il is too strong, he outwitted Qiao Bin convincingly.

“It has taken a lot of dedication to get here today as champion. Last year I injured my calf muscle so this season I came back well prepared so I’m really happy with the result,” he said.

Lee Hyun Il said his years of experience were a key contributing factor in him claiming the Grand Prix title.

“I used the right techniques against my opponent because I’ve played against him before and know what strategies to use.

Yes pity to say that I miss all the matches today but very happy to know that Lee Hyun Il won the MS match. It was never easy for him considering he is already 35 years old but I am very impressed by the way he plays because he just know how to use the right technique to play versus his opponents thus he was able to win. I guess experience really counts and matter here. Once again congratulations for winning today. I am so happy. :)
