Regarding MS Glasgow wc there is only 1 thing to say.......
Chen Long is like a radiant , burning star.....
The other players r just tubelights waiting to go bust.
Chen Long is the only real contender, others r just pretenders.

...or he'd upset one of the major favorites in the 1/4's. i'll miss his unpredictability. i can't put my thumb on it but joj is always very entertaining to watch in person. on youtube i thought his style was boring.
but at 29 years of age it ain't getting any easier. it's amazing how fast the game passes you by nowadays. for ms, any nagging injury or injury requiring a 6 month layoff past the age of 26 is the beginning of a steep decline. i have never seen anyone play better afterwards.

    yet due west
    from chen long
some would say resides the current best

    in their last meeting
when the game picked up speed
    c. long's game appeared somewhat fleeting

C long will win every match in 2 games.Mark my words/post.
C Long in the big tourneys is a beast.
The one u r Referring to in ur post is just a pretender....unproven in big tournaments(oly,wch,AE,AG)....CL will demolish him if he meets him in Glasgow.

Let us see who are pretenders and who are contenders.

You came up with a bold statement here
" Chen long will win every match in 2 games".

Hope you will show up afterwards when reverse become true.

K Srikanth seems like a happy-go-lucky kinda character and ,from what I read in the papers in India,he has had his 15 min of fame after Australia. From what I hear ,in India generally u go downhill after ur 15 min of fame unless u have strong mentally to handle the pressure, which I doubt Srikanth can.If I can bring an analogy to drive home my point,KS is like a gazelle moving elegantly at high speed, very good to watch, who has somehow got some weapons(even I like his down the line smashes). But u know what happens to the gazelle when the Lion(Chen Long) and the other predators r in town.
I predict he won't even make it past the QFs at the wc just like rio 2016.
My statements are not insults to anyone ,just stating the facts and making some predictions:cool:

What do you mean by 15 min of fame? .
Srikanth is the current fastest player on court.
No probs . Let us see how far Chen Long goes. I don't wanna compare anybody to anything as if you do.
Let us wait and watch. Why predicting now. Still time is there. I want Chen long vs Srikanth in the first round.
But Sri is in top 8 now. Most probably he may meet other seeded players in quarters .

But comparing Chen long to lion is a bit too much I think. Anyhow, why should I stand in between your dreams. Live your dreams until world championships mate.

The only real comeback in recent years had been Peter Gade bouncing back after his big injury in 2001/2002.

Ok, just on a side note, when have ever a "Lioness" let alone a lion bothered to catch a "gazelle"? On another note, no matter how fast and majestic a Cheetah looks when running he more often misses a gazelle than not.

Yes, CL is the biggest contender, woh wait, why a "contender" he is the fav, imo. Yes straight set victories against most of them, he is big tourney player correct again. But in the current MS lineup nobody is a pretender, and as far as the "Haven't proved" theory is concerned, they haven't cause it hasn't been like this ever before. For eg players like BSP, Tanongsak etc have never got an opportunity like this, players like KS, CTC, SWH might've never won a "big medal" but atleast have proven them once, like KS booting out JOJ and almost edging out LD in OG (I am certain anybody but LD would've lost that day, even CL) SWH in the team Championships and even CTC has had his moments. VA won a Bronze in OG.
And it's about time the Big 3 decline.

Imo, the Fav is CL, followed by LD (really steep hill this time), the dark horses are LCW, VA, KS and SWH. Expect a gruelling match if not upset if any of them meet the aforementioned 2. Others like CTC, NKLA, Tanongsak, BSP, (I miss WTW) should create atleast one upset irrespective of the intensity.
Others to watch out for, SYQ, THW, HKV, Emil Holst, Sameer, Rajiv

Yeah possibly, never saw him play in person, so evidently boring to me on YT. Though I do miss his tiny lil on court flickeries.
Yeah I know, especially now when everybody is ready to rip off your skin and climb if you bend even a notch down. It's gonna be difficult, plus now that his Jr compatriots (even Antonsen) are taking away the limelight from him.

CL can meet KS only in the semis ,not before that.
CL is reigning Olympic champ and 2 time wc so why not compare him to said animal. It's not only the fact that he won them but the way that he won them-others feeling helpless read momota,Lcw etc-is what I am considering.

I mean Srikanth got real fame after Australia. But can't quite get y.what he accomplished was nothing special ,given that his feats came in June ,a month where players r busy in world championships or Olympic preparations. The media don't know about this stuff and just glorify what they see on the surface.

Srikanth's real mettle will be tested in wc,AE,Asian games, oly and maybe even Thomas cups where the others go all out.Till then he ,imo,is unproven.

Also fame is a strange thing ,it can really make u go south.

I feel strange in your statements. If you mean fame will get a player down south, that will suits to any player. Chen Long did not win a single tournament after Olympics. Fame brought him down ?! This statement is according to your statement.

Srikanth always get fame in his home country. Because, whatever he do , it's history. Nobody ever in India done that. There is nothing wrong in celebrating a player who did make his country proud.
