If you look at the second photo that I've uploaded, the Chudek support has more real estate for me to push and pull strings through shared grommets, and it's easier for my pliers to maneuver in the extra space. Also, I like the contact points of the Chudek supports compared to the original ones.
Old one 20180421_083805 by fanfaron posted May 19, 2018 at 10:30 PM And here's "new one" 20180421_083740 by fanfaron posted May 19, 2018 at 10:26 PM Just got it from a store that has closed. Tension was a 0.5 lbs higher. It might be more of weight scale that is the problem. I used to have a siabosi drop weight. But jobs was not good and i was not good. Then i had silent partner drop weight. Not good because the post were not high enough and that makes weaving difficult. The old ektelon looks like a piece of junk but it's pleasure to string with that.
My first stringing machine and it is so nice! Obviously I don’t have any comparison however I will probably upgrade in a couple of years time, any tips on speeding up stringing with a drop weight? Currently took me 1hr 15mins Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Practise, practise and even more practise. 1:15 is a pretty decent time already, but it should't be too long until you break the 1 hour mark or even reach 45 minutes.
Sounds like I need to start cutting people’s string on the sly to get more work Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Are those clamps the ones which came with the machine? Seems like they've given them an upgrade. 1:15 is an excellent time to start with.
I purchased the badminton clamps as extra’s as it only came tennis clamps but they are the Penta clamps to match the machine. Thanks, beginners luck I think haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You star!! Cheers for the help, take it I had it on the side for tennis rackets? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Also move your towers closer together, try to keep the metal support at 12 and 6 vertical rather than at an angle
Awesome thanks for that, I’ll move them ASAP so I don’t forget haha, one question is.... What’s the best way to put a rough and smooth string on the racket? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I mean like a single string at the bottom that you would use to choose who serves, it’s old school but I like it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
