Yeah but he had a relapse last year and was absent during the Thomas Cup. His performance dropped significantly afterward.
thank you Boe-Mo. good luck and have fun in any of your future plan, be it in badminton or outside the court
Totally agree. Since Axelsen is perfectly capable of beating Lu Guangzu, he should definitely be able to beat Momota - it's just a mental thing.
I don’t know if it is because her latest opponents were a notch or two down in terms of level of play but what a lesson she gave them! I don’t see who else can beat her when she plays like that or may be stronger opponents will not let her play this way and could put her in trouble otherwise I agree, she is a strong favourite for the title.
This time, INA sends 7 reps to QF out of 8. Only Jonatan fails. What a reverse of fortune compare to day 1.
By tomorrow, I bet there will only be 2 left: Ahsan/Hendra & Fajar/Ardianto + Tommy (which is a toss-up)
Oh, how pessimistic! How about 4 reps in SF? Greysia/Apriyani have a chance to beat Chen/Jia. Ketut/Rizki also have a good chance too. IIRC, they beat TanaYone before.
Country representatives in QF. 10 - CHN 9 - JPN 7 - INA 3 - MAS 2 - DEN, IND 1 - TPE, HKG, THA, KOR, GER, BUL, ENG Seeded players left in QF. MS - 4 WS - 6 MD - 4 WD - 6 XD - 5
Greysia/Apriyani used to get a handle on CHN pairs but not anymore. Ketut/Rizki facing another JPN pair no way no how they can win. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LOL, it's funny that you think that way. Greysia/Apriyani has just beat CHN pair yesterday. Granted, the CHN pair is not at their level. But, I don't get the sense that they are weak to CHN pair. As for Ketut/Rizki, they beat TanaYone in Malaysia Masters this year. Today, they will meet this same JPN pair. The possibility is there. Also, I think that Ketut/Rizki is better than Della/Rizki.

usually around this time we have the ever reliable LCW to move on forward into the semi and finals.. while the others falter.. This time probably the same but without LCW to carry the banner forward
Judging by R1 performance, surprise INA have 7 seeds left. Winny / Owi provides big upset of the day . Its good that they reach QF.
7 reps, mate, not 7 seeds. INA usually doesn't have so many seeded players. From 7 reps, only 2 MDs and 1 WD are seeded pairs. If you ask me, 6-8 reps in QF is normal for INA. Yeah, I can see the prospect of Owi/Winny. They have a chance today.
