Pretty sure that's due to the organiser rather than BWF. Like the recent Malaysia Open and All England Open (which had a live stream of the practice courts).
I wonder why can't all the organizers do this? It shouldn't be so costly setting up cameras for court streaming! Even though it's just 300 grade tournament, it's offering more than, say, SG open.
I don't know. Is the regular camera enough for live streaming? Personally, I don't mind if the camera quality is lower as long as every courts have live streaming and no buffering.
Hmm too easy for LD. Even if LD tried to lose the match on purpose the chance is still 50-50 for him to win.
SN 21-4 in the third set She's playing a lot of tourneys, it's not like she has any threat as far as OG qualifications are concerned. If she hasn't completely recovered why don't skip these tournaments, especially the ones that demand long traveling hour like NZ and offer significantly less points and money. SC is on the door, and PVS's form is abysmal, Indian contingent will need her
LD took the first match 21-6 21-7 He turned back to talk to his coach in the middle of the rally? Or he thought he had won the point.
Organisers don't set up live streaming coz they want people to buy tickets and attend. There may be other reasons such as the broadcast rights have been purchased by a station or whatever.
I'd love to know the reason too because if it is all about selling tickets (i.e. money) why wouldn't they sell an online pass to allow access to the worldwide viewers? That would generate quite a significant amount of money I believe.
I cannot digest this failure, it's more than a loss. It's inconsistent. Nishimoto can lose to Ginting, Christie, Lin Dan, Ng Ka Long or any players who are seeds, but why Lee Jii Zia. This was the second time he lost to Lee Jii Zia. At the first time, he lost to Lee after beating Momota, it seems to me someone take me to the top of the mountain and then kick me to root of a mountain
Chin up, mate. I've always thought it was really cool that you didn't pick an obvious superstar to root for, even though that comes with more disappointment and even less screen time (not often on tv court). It might sound lame now in light of this really bad loss, but when your player is going to achievement something, you'll probably enjoy it much more than someone who is used to TTY or KM winning regularly.
Though it's kind of ironic because just yesterday he said something like "I don't care if he win or lose as long as I can watch his match". And today he got to watch the match and still complained lol Also, in my opinion, nothing is worse than rooting for the "superstar" LD. He has been pretty consistent in being inconsistent or pretty inconsistent in being consistent, if that even makes any difference or sense at all.
Interesting results for the younger generation, by the way. Wang Zhiyi, who turned 19 a couple of days ago beat SN, and An Se Young, who'll turn 17 tomorrow, beat Chen Xiaoxin. Lakshya Sen unfortunately didn't make it past WTW, but he's had quite respectable results in qualifying. @nilesh123 Do you know if the Indian team going to show up in full force at the SC, or field something similar to the TUC squad from last year?
