I've been noticing Korean coaches pairing with the Indian team lately on India matches. What's up? In the last MS match I saw, the Korean coach was doing the talking during the timeouts to the Indian player. Hmmmm.

Koreans coaches quit en masse following failure in Asean Games : https://www.badzine.net/2018/10/korean-coaches-resign-en-masse/
2 of them are hired by Gopichand to handle MS and WS.

Kim Tan Her had left India suddenly and out of nowhere now is coaching JPN Doubles. Reony Mainaky left his post in JPN hence the opening is available in JPN. India since then has hired 2 INA coaches to handle doubles.

Yamaguchi is struggling with her shoes of all things. Her equipment did not arrive in Auckland, and she has had to have a racquet and shoes prepared for her. The racquet is fine, but apparently the fitting of the shoes leaves something to be desired. AY will face GMT today. GMT is the star-in-the-making and up-and-coming player. Don't underestimate her as she has beat AY in AG team event last year.

HSP looks focussed during initial stages of the match. Let's see how it goes for him.

Well, I think that's just a little inconvenience, I'm sure she can easily find a pair of shoes that fits her nicely; maybe personally go try a few pairs at a store nearby or , if available, at the tournament venue. To me, it doesn't change the fact that LXR atm is no match for her (until she addresses her own 'running ability' issue as Xia Xuanze strongly advised her to do).

So players with stamina will win the matches and tournament in the end.

Guess that's how Christie won his match just now 21-11 21-9

Not just stamina, experience too, Sun Feixiang simply outclassed by Jonatan. Ample room for improvement for the 12 days shy of his 21 years of age, SFX, born 15 May 1998. JC is a little older at 21, born 15 Sep 1997.

LOL! They will be order-made; and you should know how important shoes are to a badminton player. Everyone is aware that Yamaguchi is the better player; I just hope that she doesn't injure herself.

Why specially made? Anything different abt her feet?

Decent shoes r important but why such a big deal about shoes, unless it has turbo function to enable one to move faster. Wkwkwk...

it would be funny if Ohori lose tomorrow, just a couple weeks ago, ASY lost to Hirari Mizui (the girl from team B) in Vietnam.

Well done, An Se Young, only 17 tears old, and touted by some as the next big thing in KOR WS, or perhaps, the world. She escaped near defeat at Chen Xiaoxin's hands in R1, was 2 matchpoints down before saving it and win the deuce, 23-21.

Now she disposed of the established veteran , Zhang Beiwen, age 28, in a well-fought three-setter to advance to the semifinals. Keep it up.

Custom-made shoes, you mean she has different sized feet or something else that requires podiatrist recommended mismatched shoes ? Still, I think it's not that difficult to find quality brand shoes for unequal size feet in New Zealand, I hope, unless her case is special.

Wish her all the best, I'm sure she'll prevail, there is practically no one here who can stop her clinching the title. I understand badminton shoes are important for pro players but not that critical.
