yeah, so far so good. Used it for 2 nights and Im already liking it better than the blizzard pro zz I left in the other city.
Although I don't own any Apacs racket, I do admire the colorways and the patterns they put on their rackets. Especially the Apacs Pro Commander that racket looks sick!
If you can find a Apacs Ziggler LHI Pro 2, that would be pretty close. You have an appreciation for the box frames too I see.
Hi Guys. What string and tension is best suited for Apacs Nano Fusion Speed 722? I've always been a fan of this racket since 2014. Never Changed my racket ever since.
27lbs for thin gauge string ie ultimax, kizuna, nanogy98 would make sure you have both control and power... If your wrist and fingers aren't that fast and strong, then 25lbs should bring out such magic. I've gone as high as 29lbs using Ashaway Zymax 65 back in the days and it was still very playable...
personally I prefer my racket strong at the standard 25lbs tension or no higher than 26lbs tension. I feel that if you go too high with the tension then you get no response from the strings.
Yes. I felt that too. I almost can't hear the sound of my shots to know whether I've been hitting the sweet spot on point or not. What string do you use?
I get my rackets strung from the UK supplier. I use the Stardom 100 strung with APACS LHI Z-Ziggler Pro 66 0.66 guage at 26lbs tension. https://apacs-badminton.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=17&product_id=97 http://www.apacs-badminton.co.uk/
I think thinner gauge strings are better suited with the racket since it is designed for speed and control over power.
I depends if you feel comfortable with thinner gauge. 0.66mm guage is thin. The norm is now about 0.68mm-0.70mm. When I worked for Yehlex UK/APACS UK, the standard tension for the rackets was 24lbs tension. I started using APACS string at 0.68 mm gauge and then progressed to 0.66 mm and you could tell the difference slightly.
Yes. It felt comfortable and the response from the strings was fine for me. I am a club standard player.
you're right! Just had my newly bought Apacs NFS 722 strung with a 0.66 gauge string with 25lbs tension. It really does feel more comfortable and suitable for my play style. I used to stuck by 0.70 string at 26lbs. It really does feel a lot different for me.
Hi all, been playing badminton for a couple months now and am loving it. Currently been playing with the Yonex Astrox 69 with VBS70 at 25lbs and have been enjoying it, bit I'm looking to get a couple more rackets. I went and ordered the Edgesaber 10 because it was pretty cheap ($40AUD, absolute steal imo) but I'd like something that'd imitate the Astrox 69 as a more "closer" racket, maybe a little faster handling. Not the biggest fan of flexy shafts so I'm not all too sure how I'll fare with the Edgesaber but again for $40 it was just an experiment buy. Any suggestions for Astrox69 backup? Thanks Sent from my Redmi K20 using Tapatalk
Why not just get another Astrox 69? It's the closest you will get to the one you have right now. Considering you are only asking for a little faster handling, get a 4U version?
I'm currently using a 4U version of it, and the reason I'm considering (more) apacs is purely because of their much lower price by comparison. Sent from my Redmi K20 using Tapatalk
I see. Just don’t expect it to be very close to your Astrox 69. Hope you find one! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
