xavier, is that true?? the word mas make me remind with a song from indonesia that the line is something like 'mas joko..mas joko..'
I dont know.. because as you know we're both from malaysia.. its an indonesian song.. my brother like to sing that song... i just remember about it when the word mas is used... but i like that word.. its very funny...
Actually... ..Usually if one has a chinese background, to call 'koh' or 'ko' means to call an 'older' brother, not just 'brother'...However, if one is in Java, esp. in Javanese custom, to call 'mas' is similar to call another guy, 'sir'; esp. if he is not of chinese descent(he may be both older, same age or younger). Both are 'courtesy' words/terms and i've heard sometimes if you're in Java, 'mas' can be used to call even another guy with a chinese background. Hence Candra can be called both 'koh'/'ko' or 'mas'. But Sigit can only be called 'mas'. Btw, both Candra & Sigit are Javanese, because both are Javanese-born. The only difference is Candra has a Chinese background whilst Sigit does not.
Errr, yeah, ctjcad's correct... Ko Candra is actually a javanese too, same hometown as my dad... They're frm Cirebon/Losari.. Whereas Mas Sigit's frm Jogjakarta.. That's why, that time they met, they bcm a good frnd just in a few min... Moreover, Ko Candra and my uncle was best frnds when they were small, tghtr with Ko Candra's older brother... 'Koko'/'ko' is usually used by ppl who are sm kind of 'chinese' descendants..? Haha, smthg like that.. Whereas 'mas' is used by mostly those javanese, or muslim ppl... It's a polite term, and it's unpolite if I call Sigit Ko Sigit.. Anyway, he asked me to call him that, bfr, I called both Candra and Sigit 'uncle'.. Haha.. Since they are much older than me.. My dad introduced them to me, and until now I smtimes SMS with them.. Hahaha.. It's fun, and they don't really 'seem' so polite when they sms ppl.. Hahaha, they are quite funky too.. ^O^
in my opinion, chen jin. Hes always smiling, even if the loses the game hes still just happy to be there
I've met Hafiz, and he really seems to be very kind. His english isn't bad as well ! I haven't talked to Xia Xuanze, but the look on his face when he walks around - he really does look quite polite and sweet, I must say! Peter Gade is very nice as well .. very funny player as well.
I still pick Choong Hann - whether it's to his friend or to fans, he's really friendly. For other players, it really depends on their mood and to whom they talk.
agree wif you.. choong hann will ever being polite and always smile to his fans whatever happen.. eventhough when he's lose....
My friends met kenneth jonassen before n they said that he dont like to talk much... He only talk when we ask him a question.. but i dont know the truth b'coz i never met him before....
He doesn't look very nice, though looks are deceiving.... some of my friends call him 'samseng' or 'kongsi gelap guy' ha ha ha.
Without a doubt Wong Choong Hann. Saw him in 2005 Manila SEA GAmes then recently in 2007 NZ Open, friendly as ever.
