Just read in either Kompas/Jawa Pos: it's confirmed that ALL the top players are going to the SEA Games
Then 2nd and 3rd layer are going to Russia Open Gold GP? [this is a cash-draining option for the cash-strapped PBSI] Or maybe Pakistan and India Challenge? [Cheaper...] Maybe Taiwan Series... That choice is also economical...
go to pakistan challenge....INA is not so smart by sending all top players....really..realy..( hm..cant say it....)
The rest I presume will be rested at home? Its unlikely they will venture to Russia due to the inconvenience. I personally have gone to Moscow and its really not an option as I have to transfer twice (Bangkok and then Dubai).
Off topic-The news.. ..was reported by Krisna, in the previous page, starting with post #19, which propagated the subsequent discussions til this page..A total absence by the INA squad in the upcoming China Open
It is not a revenge but National Championship which TH is the lost popular so he has to be there to boost INA Badminton..... TH was playing at China Master 2 months ago so it was not in that case....
Here is the FULL List of MAS Team for KORAT SEA Games 07 : MEN SINGLES : 1. YEOH KAY BIN 2. TAN CHUN SEANG 3. ehh.. iya sorry i didn't mean to offend mas.., i want to say: ina team have a bigger chance to do a cleaning sweep in SEA games....
It is true that Taufik is not going to China Open, but not due to some 'boycott because Lin Dan did not play in Indonesia Open'... He got that totally wrong. Lius Pongoh wanted to prioritize the 2007 INA National Championships and HK Super Series [included in the Yonex contract, unlike China Open].
Except WS... Yeah, since KONI have inserted fresh funds to PBSI in the past months, PBSI (in return) will send our top guys & gals to get 4-6 golds in the SEA Games... I predict the only gold that can 'escape' our grasp is the WS gold.... WMC will get that... Maria Kristin and Firda has a shot, but WMC has an edge over them... MS, MD, XD, WD, Men's team, Women's team... should be INA's... Even if Boonsak is playing... tough for him to beat Taufik, Sony, and Simon...
I saw the match yesterday, it seems that Fridasari is gaining her composure and definitely she will play better and better...all she needs to do is how to learn to close the macth...like against Soratja,,,she ahd it but let it slip...she needs to be more focus on each point.....PBSI is planning to send Firda and Maria to SS series and she may get into main darw for French Open...if she gets into semifinal today ( Macau), definitely she will have better chance to be in main draw.....
It's like Maria Kristin's problem, maybe both girls has same problems. Maria also didn't have "finishing shot" too, she need improve her reflex to be faster. Maria usually create the opponent run side by side but rarely smash when got "easy" ball just lob and drop shot. Not surprised when she won the match mostly in 3 sets or lost 3 sets too like against Xu Huaiwen in Bitburger Final 2006, Tine Rasmussen and Tracey Hallam in Sudirman Cup.
There is no separated SEXES for team competition in SEA games.. Only a mixed team event will be contented.
I believe that INA players will go to HKG open....may be not full team but for sure there will be some INA players....
