Taufik Hidayat just had a powerful straight backhand smash winner on LD. Man I just grinned and chuckled to myself. Haven't seen one in awhile.

The LD/TRh match is like an exhibition match.

    Game 1
LD-TH: 21-12 (Game over at the 17th minute)

    Game 2
    LD-TH: 05-11 (Interval at the 26th minute)

Looks like TH can win Game 2. But will his stamina be enough to last Game 3?

LD is just so passive right now. He's just mainly clearing and throwing in a couple drops and smashes when he feels like it. Also making a lot of unforced errors. The slow pace is in part to TH though. It may backfire on him though, I don't think he's as fit as LD to play that game.

TH might be slow in moving, but his reaction speed is still good.

Fantastic comeback in the 2nd game. LD won around 9 out of the last 11 points from 12-17 down to take the last game 21-19. When LD got the opportunity to get a big smash in, it was all over for TH. While the slow pace play from TH frustrated LD into a lot of errors, it also took away from TH's own stamina so he couldn't close out the 2nd game while LD had no problem.

Can't helped feeling it's like a friendly match played without much intensity, with Lin Dan so leisurely, bored and sometimes impatient and frustrated as when he threw his racket straight up into the air at one point. Taufik should seize his chances and catch Lin Dan off guard, and perhaps win this match.

As I'm typing, the match suddenly comes alive the last few points and Lin Dan makes a spurt to the finishing line, coming from behind to win the match in two straight games.

Maybe it was LD's grand scheme to have a big dramatic comeback from 12-17 because he was bored and then decided to finish it off! On a more serious note, he was quite casual at the start of the second game, even before Taufik got the lead. Had a lot of careless errors off his backhand at the net and some net shots as well (however in the first game he had one of the best netshots ever, ironically there is one on youtube where LD also had the greatest netshot reply to a great netshot by none other than TH).

I will say though the highlight of the match was the one straight backhand smash on LD. It was a beauty, but that's all it was unfortunately. Good for the highlight reel.

OK... Now we have the JPN girls (S.Matsuo/M.Naito) in skirts and the CHN girls (Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei) in shorts on court.

I think the shorts will have it.
