Didnt EndoW lost the Iva/Soz in their last meeting? They were bullied into submission. It was some kind of team tournament, JPN vs Russia, wonder if Endo has ever beaten IvaSoz.
3-4 record with Hayakawa https://bwfbadminton.com/player/540...54527&team2_player1=53924&team2_player2=67068 0-2 record with Watanabe https://bwfbadminton.com/player/540...58240&team2_player1=53924&team2_player2=67068
lol sometimes someone dont want Minions to win because they dont want 'him' to be richer.. clowns? are there like 2 clowns?
SEMIFINAL (10.00am & 05.00pm) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...A9F3CE-A822-49C8-A58A-BF165D73CB64&d=20200314 Lee Zii Jia steals the limelight in this prestigious tournament, beat more fancied rival with highly reputation, the Olympic Champion Chen Long. Lee who's touted to be Lee Chong Wei successor exploiting his potential in Birmingham, extra motivation, few errors, powerful smash and balancing Chen patient style to control the rally became the key factor for his sensational victory in his All England debut. Next big obstacle for this young man none but the in-form Viktor Axelsen, the Dane showed excellent form yesterday to destroy Shi Yuqi who stated his opponent is too good in all aspects at post-match interview. The struggling Shi couldn't do too much to stem Axelsen lethal smash instead to produce many uncharacteristic errors and totally out of accuracy, it looks like these two players have different level of play. On upper half draw, predictable script to see top seed Chou Tien Chen and Anders Antonsen prevail, to ease past their compatriots, vast experienced Chou is favoured to book final berth based on their H-2-H stats. Badminton fans will witness the new champion emerges in this category. China hotshot Chen Yufei fought hard to tackle Ratchanok Intanon this time, the Thai ace has good chance against her nemesis in third game, 15-12 but a string of errors became fatal and let the persistent Chen to close the gap and back to winning track, grabs four consectutive points to seal last four place, 17-21. Chen will take on Nozomi Okuhara who reverses opening game defeat to outmaneuver Sindhu in next two games, the Indian couldn't maintain consistency after scoring blazing start in first game. Okuhara lost in last three matches to Chen, an interesting to wait whether the Japanese has better formula to overcome the Chinese here. Former champions Carolina Marin, Tai Tzu Ying will set up a mouth watering clash, both players books convincing win over Akane Yamaguchi and Pornpawee Chochuwong respectively. In doubles category, the big headline is mixed doubles. Jordan/Oktavianti created magical comeback, 10-18 to 21-19. Just three points away, Wang/Huang will seal their semifinal ticket but a nightmare happened, the world number two focus disappeared and made huge blunder that capitalised by their opponent. Second wind surged to the Indonesian pair in third game despite the Chinese still fought back but had lost winning momentum. Another similar turnaround also arrived for home favourites Ellis/Smith to turn the tables, keep going at the brink defeat, 17-20, saving three match points and forced rubber games against Tang CM/Tse YS. It's a gone case in third game, more confident English duo advance to semis. Other highlights : - The Daddies can't defend their crown and lost to third Japanese foes, Endo/Watanabe in two close games, 19-21 / 18-21. But the Minions still manage their ambition to snatch third title, edge past Aaron C/Soh WY, 21-17 / 21-19. The undisputed world number one have Lee Y/Wang CL to overcome. - Defending champion Chen QC/Jia YF outlasted by the Olympic Champions Matsutomo/Takahashi, 12-21 / 22-20 / 12-21. One more Japan pair in semifinal, Fukushima/Hirota while Matsumoto/Nagahara couldn't pass China second-ranked combination Du Y/Li YH who will take on Lee SH/Shin SC.
Damn, just realized Zheng / Huang lost in the second round. This outbreak really affected CHN players' performance
Because they're too dominant in every BWF top-tier tournament, chance for others to capitalise this rare situation. Indeed, they only secure two semifinal spots through women's category. For the first time since 1999 edition, China MS player fails to enter All England semifinal.
Seems like you can't stand indonesian MD dominated the MD scene I get it if people doesn't like kevin/marcus, but even you want the legendary ahsan/hendra to lose
Cant remember the last time Kevin showboat, maybe the last time against GohTan at ThomasCup? and calling Gideon clown lol...and even Goh isnt bothered why will you? they are good friends and just having a go at each other its so fun to watch. and why did it bother somebody? its not like he earns from that person.. should be thankful that he is so entertaining just like steen said at the end of the match yesterday he cant think of someone more entertaining.., maybe sigit and that is remotely.. Sigit is like 10-20% of Kevin imo. Rarely world number 1 plays as exciting as Minions.. LeeYongDae is number 1 for a long time but he is known for his pragmatic style of play.. in terms of badminton values, it doesnt contribute much..
Yeah I'm not surprised with this H2H since endo likes to play this defensive game and patient style. even LYD/YYS had pretty bad H2H against ivanov/sozonov.
Sanjaya is a disrespectful showoff; Hend/Set, they just bore me. The CHN dominance of the late-2000's got on my nerves as well - stay on top long enough and people just want to knock you down
Endo has changed his style since 2016, after partnering with yuta, otherwise he had an all out attack game before. I just want that man to win this title, after being in 3 finals iirc, and yeah Yuta is lub, I am sad that he lost in early stages in XD, but yeah it could have been for the greater good, as now he can have more juice left than usual. Yeah Endo deserves AE title.. Losing 3 Finals is tragic .. they are kind of favourite, cant see EndoW not winning this. but he also lost 3 superseries Finals, the thing that makes you go hmmm Does it matter if they beat Minions or LeeWang to win AE? not really.., a title is a title whoever you beat
Ivanov has one of the strongest smashes among current players and his height gives him advantage.he once clocked smash speed of 450 kmp/hr in pbl 2016
Why is Endo deserves AE title? As far as I know, he lost all his finals fair and square. Unless there were circumstances that benefited his opponents at that time, I don't think he deserves the title now just because he went to finals for several times and lost all. I know almost everyone here have a soft spot and huge sympathy for him due to his tragic final records. Some weebs fans even start calling him a legend, and now he also deserves to win a title. He's a good player. But maybe, just MAYBE he's just not good enough to win a title. Hope he can break the curse though.
