I got a feeling that it is a nice timing for them again with JJS, just like the AE this year.

After recovering from injury, they should win 1 more tournament and go big on OG. ;)

Last hurrah for JJS. Shuttles blazing and feathers shaved until no more hair.. lol. ;)

He is so successful on the BWF SS circuit, but he never won a major tournament at all in MD.

He has been collecting silver and bronze most of the time. Perhaps this will change in the coming London Olympics.

if i recall correct, LYD already won 2 AE MD titles...which, imo, is one of the major baddy tourneys/titles.
On top of that, he's won an Olympic Gold although in the XD.
Yes, still missing the OG & WC MD title, but his time will come as he's still quite young..

Lee Young-dae may follow Kim Dong-moon successful who win 2 Olympic golds, 1996 Atlanta Games (XD-partnered with Gil Young-ah) and 2004 Athens Games (MD-partnered with Ha Tae-kwon).

I guess Lee YD will more focus for MD discipline in London, MD has better chance to grab gold than XD.

Lee Yong Dae will defs be focusing more on his MD with Jung than his XD.

Since he already won his mixed Gold in Beijing 2008 with Lee Hyo Jung.

And also because his partner Jung Jae Sung is retiring after so the pairing will give it their all since it's their last match together.

Not only that but Lee hasn't really performed well in XD this year with Ha Jung Eun compared to his MD. XD has much tough competition now... with China pairs, Admad/Natsir, Sudket/Saralee, ChanPS/GohLY...

And although he is participating in both MD and XD for London, he will definitely be looking more at that Mens Doubles Gold.

I think him and Ha Jung Eun are pretty good together. I like Ha's play, she's not too soft like how some femle players can be. but i guess XD has very strong competition in the field now.

Anyhoos, I'm interested to see how far he'd progress in the MD in London. Since it'd be the last time he'd be playing with Jung. Interesting to see who they will pair him up with after JJS retires too, since the korean team seems to like shuffling their doubles players around quite abit.
