Play with Albert Park Badminton Club whenever CCC Badminton has FULL HOUSE

Often, when there is FULL HOUSE at CCC, some CCCers say "Damn, we missed out".

Just a reminder: Our sister club, Albert Park Badminton Club, also plays Social Games on Wednesday night at MSAC. They play on Court No.1, 2, 3 and 4. However, they finish at 10:00pm.

Therefore, I am telling our CCCers to play with Albert Park Badminton Club whenever CCC has FULL HOUSE.

There is no booking required. It's first come, first serve (compared to CCC - Once booked in, you can come at anytime, even at our last hour).

Therefore, please go to Albert Park Badminton Club early (they also commence at 7:30pm).

When they have FULL HOUSE, you will be sent home.

Today, I have been thinking about arranging partners for those players who haven't arranged their partnerships.

But, I think I should do it at our session. Why? Because players arrive at different times. Often, we find early arrivals cannot start matches until their partners have arrived.

* It's our 289th Wednesday Social Session at MSAC (after we have moved here permanently); and it's our 44th for this year.

* We thank CCCers for removing themselves when unable to attend (therefore allowing others to join in). As you know by now, if you have booked in and didn't show, you will be fined the session fee (because you have prevented others from taking your place).

* We welcome Holly-G and Kai-C playing with us their first time. Hope they enjoyed playing with us.

* Ben-B and Alan-D were included to play. They did not follow our Booking List system (they don't read or follow our communication in this thread).

* We thank CCCers for allowing pairs of already 'arranged partnership' to commence their matches first. Why? So that our schedule of matches can begin smoothly from Game No.1.

* Some CCCers were asking about our Spring membership. Our Spring season is from 1st of September to the end of November. So far, CCCers who have done their renewals/applicants are :

CCC Social Challenge Matches at MSAC on Wednesday Night

"CCC Social Challenge Matches"; the terms used and the schedule.

1. Terms used:

1.1 Qualification Match = Your first match.

1.2 Challenge Matches = Your later matches.

1.3 Schedule Match = Your next match, after players waiting before you have played.

2. Schedule of our Matches:

2.1 Before starting, first find a partner. For players looking for partners, please don't be shy to post in this thread asking for partners. We now have a Partnership List at the bottom of the Booking List.

2.2 If no partner is found/absent, then inform chris-ccc.

2.3 Pairs with already 'arranged partnership' will commence their matches first.

2.4 With set (limited) number of participants, we should have a quick turn-over of matches. Therefore, warm-up hits are only permitted for Qualification Matches; There shall be no warm-up for Challenge Matches.

2.5 After your Qualification Matches, there should be winning pairs and losing pairs awaiting to play in their next scheduled match (the Challenge Match). As scheduled, when the 4 players enter onto the court, they may exchange partners if they wish (in other words, amongst the 4 winning players, or amongst the 4 losing players). If a winning player is to partner a losing player, we don't know how to name your pair (as a winning pair or a losing pair).

2.6 The shuttlecock placed under the net (in the middle of the court) is for the next scheduled match.

2.7 Court No.10 is used for losing players' Challenge Matches.

2.8 Court No.11 is used for winning players' Challenge Matches.

Please Note: After your match, please remember to place a shuttlecock under the net in the middle of the court for the next scheduled match.

We welcome other suggestions to help run our CCC Social Challenge Matches more exciting and more efficiently.

(1) Please pay for your session fee as soon as you arrive.
Why? So that I don't need to chase after players for your fees.

(2) Please bring correct change to our session.
Why? Sometimes 10 CCCers bring $50 each, causing me extra time to get change from the MSAC shop.

(3) Please put shuttlecock under the net (court centre) after your match.
Why? Because the next group of players need to know where to find the shuttlecock.

(3) Please tell us your partner, or for me to arrange a partner for you.
Why? It is best to be set-and-ready about partnership before we start our session.

(5) Please inform us if you could be arriving late.
Why? It is for your partner (and for all participants) to know what is happening.

(6) Please allow arranged partners to commence their matches first.
Why? So that our schedule can run smoothly from Match #1.
