Greetings,

Our CCC Badminton (a Melbourne Badminton Coaching Club), is conducting Social Games Session every Wednesday night at MSAC from 7:30pm to 10:30pm (meeting on Court No.10).

We welcome BCers to play with us. :):):)

CCC started in 2001 (at MSAC).

Later, we moved to various other venues. Currently, we are holding all our sessions only at MSAC.

Here are some common questions that some BadmintonCentral members have asked (and we shall answer them below);

(1) Question: What is CCC Badminton all about?

Answer: CCC is a Badminton Coaching Club holding our CATS (Coaching And Training Session) every Sunday at MSAC on Court No.4 (10:00am - 12:00noon). Because many of our trainees have requested to play at weekly Social Games Sessions, we then started our Games Sessions. You are now reading our Games Session thread.

(2) Question: I am a beginner, can I attend CCC sessions?

Answer: CCC is a Badminton Coaching Club. Therefore we expect less skilled and/or less experienced players joining our CCC activities. But if you are a good and an experienced player wishing to join us play, you are also welcomed too.

(3) Question: What do I do if I wish to attend CCC sessions?

Answer: Be registered at BadmintonCentral, so that you can post in your booking (whenever you wish to attend).

(3) To ensure that we have enough games for all players, it is best not to exceed 16 players.

CCC Social Challenge Matches at MSAC on Wednesday Night

For new players attending our Wednesday CCC Social Games night, please be informed about our how we conduct our "CCC Social Challenge Matches" (as mentioned below).

Our "CCC Social Challenge Matches": The terms used and the schedule.

1. Terms used:

1.1 Qualification Match = Your first match.

1.2 Challenge Matches = Your later matches.

1.3 Schedule Match = Your next match, after players waiting before you have played.

2. Schedule of our Matches:

2.1 Before starting, first find a partner. For players looking for partners, please don't be shy to post in this thread asking for partners. We now have a Partnership List at the bottom of the Booking List.

2.2 If no partner is found/absent, then see chris-ccc.

2.3 With set (limited) number of participants, we should have a quick turn-over of matches. Therefore, warm-up hits are only permitted for Qualification Matches; There shall be no warm-up for Challenge Matches.

2.4 After your Qualification Matches, there should be winners and losers awaiting to play in the next scheduled match (the Challenge Match). As scheduled and when players enter onto the court, the 4 players may exchange partners if they wish (in other words only amongst the 4 winners, or only amongst the 4 losers). If a winner is to partner a loser, we don't know how to name your pair (as a winning or a losing pair).

2.5 After your match, please remember to place a shuttlecock under the net in the middle of the court for the next scheduled match

2.6 Court No.10 is used for losers' Challenge Matches.

2.7 Court No.11 is used for winners' Challenge Matches.

We welcome other suggestions to help run our CCC Social Challenge Matches more exciting and more efficiently run.

We shall start our Booking List for Wednesday CCC at MSAC: 06-Mar-2013

It's our 255th Wednesday Social Session at MSAC (after we have moved here permanently); and it's our 10th for 2013.

We do a Booking List:
(1) To welcome BadmintonCentral members to attend.
(2) To ensure that players who have booked in would not be turned away.
(3) To ensure that we have enough games for all players, it is best not to exceed 16 players.
Hope to have our 'Booking List' finalised by Tuesday 7:30pm (24 hours before). MSAC requires us to confirm our court-booking 24 hours before.

Reminder:
If you cannot attend, you will need to be removed before 4:30pm on Wednesday, otherwise you will be charged.
Why? Because there are CCCers who are wishing to attend (checking to book in - up to the last hours) have found themselves missing out after we have FULL HOUSE.
