    Is this a fake??

    I've got a Muscle Power 66.
The serial number is: 4969954 080642CD
It's hard to tell from a serial number, but i have a feeling this is a fake, Is it?

I just plugged it into the dataset for you, and it fits into the linear progression of serial numbers. If it is a fake, then the fakers have done their homework. Don't forget, the numbers are only one of many clues to use when determining if a racquet is fake.

Why do you think it is fake? What signs do you have?

Well, I got it through my Badminton coach. Our badminton club is sponsoured by Yonex. It comes from some guy in Calgary, and it took like 3 months, when he told me it would only be about 2-3 weeks. We buy a lot of stuff from him and he always has these excuses for the stuff not being here.
I just wanted to make sure because I LOVE my racket!

Thanks for cheaking it for me!

Sometimes, part time dealers don't keep too much stuff in stock. They usually wait for a big bulk of order(s) from various individuals, then place the order together. If u happen to be the 1st one in the bulk, then it will take quite a bit of time for others.

    I keyed in the information of your AT700 5241844 181146TH (date=18 Nov 2004) to my list of Japanese Yonex rackets. It fits in neatly between a Armortec 800DE 5241381 171144TH (date=17 Nov 2004) and a NanoSpeed 7000 5253896 291142JP (date=29 Nov 2004).

IMHO, the data of serial no. and date code is OK, it should be a genuine Yonex racket.

Also i want to know is my MP 100 is a fake or not?

    I keyed in the information of your MP100 4940702 250546SP (Date=25 May 2004) to my list of Yonex rackets. It fits in neatly between a Armortec LE 1311/5000 4937283 240546SP (Date=24 May 2004) and a Muscle Power 88 4940951 250546IP (Date=25 May 2004).

From the serial date and date code (one of the many way to tell apart real rackets from fake), it is likely to be a genuine Yonex racket.

Nevertheless you should also examine your racket to satisfy yourself that you have bought a genuine Yonex. Useful wbsite for your browsing is :

I keyed in the information of your ArmorTec 800-OF 5257625 301144TH (Date=30 Nov 2004) to my list of Yonex rackets. It fits in neatly between 2 items of ArmorTec 800-OF 5257567 301144TH (Date=30 Nov 2004) and 5259982 021244TH (Date=2 Dec 2004).

From the serial date and date code (one of the many way to tell apart real rackets from fake), it is likely to be a genuine Yonex racket.
