Wang played a slightly taxing match yesterday you might recall...

But yes, Marin is certainly very dangerous anyways

LXR's skills and fighting spirit are admirable. But she won't get past the super fit Marin tomorrow, LXR is spent.

The drift had an impact in all 3 games, thats certainly a big part of it.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Excellent fight back from Marin in G2 from 5 down playing with the drift.
Towards the end of the match she won the net exchange vs Shixian, not many can claim that.

Marin will have to be fitness favourite vs Lix tomorrow after that slog vs Saina.

All credits to LI Xuerui and her smart play. Despite not being physically fit and coming back from an injury layoff, she managed to beat the World no. 1 to reclaim her position at the top. I hope she wins tomorrow and extract revenge for the WC loss to Carolina Marin, though it would be very tough given her fitness.

Absolutely. If you control the net, that's worth more than half the points because of a) the quality and b) the psychological pressure on the opponent. LXR's netshot were exquisite. Saina's selection of shots was poor. All smashes to the side and late in the third game, all smashes were aimed at the body. Too predictable or perhaps a sign of anxiety and tightness in her game.

i fear this could be a huge psychological blow to Saina - if she can't defeat an off-form and unfit LXR, when will she be able to?

    Head-to-head now stands at 9-2.

If Saina can't win against unfit Li, she does not deserve to be number 1. She's clearly has no idea what her weaknesses are, and keep on making the same mistakes.

Why is the match between OU Dongni/XIAOHAN Y and LUO Ying/LUO Yu is being played?
CHN has full confidence in TQ/XH beating the Koreans in the other SF?

It was SN to lose as LXR was visibly tired in G3.

But SN made a few unforced errors that did not help. Whereas LXR remained composed despite her overtaxed condition and was more focused to outlast SN.

LXR couldn't smash much or attack aggressively due to her lack of fitness, that's already one weapon missing from her arsenal. I'm looking forward to seeing a 100% fit LXR in the Sudirman Cup, hope so or LYB will be one worried man.
