N80-2 is head heavier and maybe a tiny amount flexier than 75c. 75c has a different feel to it, as though it's made from harder carbon, and the n80 is more damped in terms of feedback. Both are quite difficult to flex on the swing. Neither of them are fast rackets due to the head weight, though the 75c is a little faster. Overall the 75c is a little easier to adapt to compared to the 80.
I think the N9ii/75 has plenty of weight and headweight to be a great singles racket. For me, the weight of the 75C was too much to handle, even if I think the stiffness was good. So, excited to try the N7ii, which I’m on my way to pick up right now I don’t have any doubts that it can perform in both singles and doubles. If not, that’s only on me
I've seen a couple people say the N80ii had dampened feedback. Seems so strange. The reason I like the Calibar frames is the feedback. Lol Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk
I've only has 2 calibar frames, the 80-2 and 900C. I much prefer the 900C in terms of feedback and playability. 900c also has a slightly smaller head/different shape which I think helps with its agility.
Blasphemy! And plain wrong! The N80II has a great and direct feel without being on the vibrating side.
It's only described that way in a relative comparison, I for one am glad it is a bit dampened compared to Braves word rackets, for example. It's not muted by any stretch of the imagination, to be quite frank I'd like an even more dampened head back, in the form of the (slightly lighter, maybe) N90, that was just perfect to me. But yeah, it's definitely a lively racket. I'll try to compare, but the Calibar 800 should be a one-to-one replacement.
Hi Guys I already posted on another thread but I think this one is more suitable especially since I am a little lost in the choice of my future racket! My player profile: - I play exclusively in mixed and men double, not planned to play in single - my strong point: the smash, I do not lack power quite the contrary and I have a profile attacker / compulsive smoker - my weak point: the defense at least my placement (too static) I played until now with a Kawasaki Honor 6 string BG80 11kg, 4U/W2 versatile semi rigid and (very) slightly in the lead not to say neutral and it suited me very well. Recently I broke it so I changed my racket and having the feeling of having progressed I left on a Victor Auraspeed 80X which is a fantastic racket for those who can get all the potential. The fact is it's too stiffer (very very stiff), even if I have a good arm, I do not put enough speed to bend properly the rod. My smachs start at 80% of their power and I must still force my releases. Even if they leave well, the fatigue over several weeks is felt at the level of the shoulder / homoplate. Nothing traumatic but I think that my technical baggage and my speed of arm does not make it possible to exploit it correctly. So i'm looking for come back to a medium stiff racket, 3U or 4U and I'm looking for a good compromise between power and maneuverability. I hesitate between these 3 rackets and i don't know if I'll have the time to test both: - Turbo Charging 75 3U - Aeronaut 7000 3U - Aeronaut 4000 4U Turbo Charging 75 (ex N9-II) seems powerfull and not so slow for a 3U, seems that lot of players use it in double Aeronaut 4000 is 4U so easy to use, heavy head so that should compensate for the lack of power related to weight Aeronaut 7000 ... a good compromise ? i don't find any feedbacks but I guess the aeronaut system coupled with the 3U weight should give good maneuverability ? HELP ME
If you like the properties of the ARS80X then go for the TC75. No question about it to me. Familiar type of swing speed but you get the stiffness you prefer. P.S. Just a small anal clarification. The Aeronaut 7000 itself is a 4U only haha. It's the 7000B and 700C that are 3U iirc and the 7000I is a 5U. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
I concur. As mentioned hundreds of times, the small slits in the racket head don't really do much, don't think an 88g 300mm racket will suddenly be fast and nimble because someone made a couple small slits in the head (which are so small that they'll barely reduce drag - the small holes mean there's going to be a lot of turbulence and friction relative to how much air flows through them). The Aeronaut 7000 is pretty stiff, so I'd recommend either the 8000D (basically an N99) or the TC75.
My bad, it's Aeronaut 7000C in 3U which I was looking at, 7000 is stiffness so it would not suit me ! It seems that the TC75 is unanimous, is it not too "heavy / slow" for the double since it was a 3U heavy head?
Aeronaut 7000 comes in 4U, unless you mean the other models 7000B or 7000C? I'm currently using 7000B, having used N9ii for about 6 months. Both are excellent rackets for accessing power. Obviously, I prefer the 7000B over the N9ii. I've not noticed any major drop in speed, power is about the same (if not better), but the feedback is a lot better. But if you're used to feedback from aero frames, then this might not be a problem for you.
