What a dramatic end to the All-INA MD SF! Despite leading 20-17 in the rubber-set and then having another 3 more match points, Fajar Alfian/Mohd Rian Ardianto couldn't convert them all and the top-seed Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo eventually took it 26-24! Can they defend their title tomorrow??
I think it is his playing style. Kevin most likely places shot to opponent’s hitting zone in order to counter. It is double edge sword that why being Kevin partner is very demanding. People might say Gideon suck , but other than Watanabe I couldnt think of any player which that much of court coverage. Only biggest smash wont do. You need someone who could catch up with Kevin speed. Anyway Im glad to see his celebration. I really miss the old Kevin.
Minions win another title wouldn't be good in the long term, that means herry will keep this partnership even after another choke job by them at the WC FajRi really blew it man smh..
Yeah Gideon is wrongstepped so many times like a baked salmon there. Gideon being a steadying force played well today, other than G2. Could have easily caved being 17-20 down. Fajar Rian has 6 match points and failed to convert.
Yeah, but even if they lost this, they will still be WR1 for foreseeable future. Coach probably only cares about money and rightly so, these days with Pandemic. Separating the pair doesnt mean there will be instant success anyway.
Yeah, Fajar/Rian totally blew the chance by losing last week & this week! They looked nervy at the crucial moments when I thought it was all over at 20-17.
Ofcourse, but when you failed to deliver for like 4 straight years at major as a number 1 pair (can't even sniff a medal) surely some change need to be make, especially if you're indonesian MD with long history in big events. I'm sure if christian hadinata still the coach he would already split minions after the olympics Time and time again, I just don't get it
Who are you Heo Kwanghee??? You think you can take Chou!!! Get in your place @wade On the condition that Momota has enough energy left to get past Kanta today. And if he does - how many games it will take him. And enough left against CTC who won in 2 straight sets and will have longer rest. I won't say easy at all. He can have an opportunity maybe. But for sure not easy. Be realistic.
It appears Momota has popularized throwing oneself on the floor. @wade I don't think any of Momota's wins over CTC have ever been easy. It's one of the players that, despite the h2h record, are not a good matchup for KM.
