in doubles? should one aim for the left side of the court more, so he can take the straight returns on his forehand? any general tips?
depends on what level your opponent is. if hes an ok player who doesnt have a good backhand, then sure, drive it to his backhand. lets see... if your opponenet is serving to you while u are standing on the right side of the court, and the lefty is in the back, you can try driving straight at the front person. make sure its low, so he cant smash it rite bak at u. theres a chance it mite hit him, so u'll get hte point, or if he dodges it, it'll be at the lefty's backhand
playing with a lefty Suggest you reread the post egibooga... Playing with a lefty you won't get the same natural rotation you do when you're both the same handedness. So call for each other a lot more to let each other know who's going to take shots to the middle of the court. You could also try serving out wide to get a lift up your partners forehand.
