Just bought a Yonex Nanospeed 8000 racket here in denmark. The serialnumber is 270952GR Looks like its an parallelimport from Germany ?
ah i see, that's tough. well, i suppose you can try and get your money back, also post the name of the ebayer on bluejeff's ebay watch list so that others can be warned.
you need to post the first 7 digits of the serial as well, it should be on the shaft. also whom you bought it from before you get a BIG BOLD reminder by leehsim ...
there's another thread that deals with this .... go have a read, it's pretty comprehensive ... with pictures and all!
i havent bought the racket yet but its from ciatkian (i know he sells fakes but this one says 100% Genuine, so i was just checking) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8774248668&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 thats the link if you could check it out for me please.
Hi, can you please check the serials of my rackets. Thanks MP99 2UG3 bought in Australia from an offical Yonex distributor 5600647 140652AS MP90 3UG4 bought from Windsor Rackets in Shinjuku, Japan 5877311 211253JP AT800OF 3UG3 bought in Australia from an offical Yonex distributor 5035160 060743BX sticker on cone says 20-25 lb, 9.0-11.0kg Also, i don't have the serial with me, but I have a AT500 with distribution code AP (bought in Australia from an offical Yonex distributor). Would you be able to tell confidently if this is fake? the serial date code is normal (eg in 2005) physically all rackets look and feel perfect.
I have checked in the information of your Yonex NS-8000 shaft Serial Code:5753443; cone Date Code: 270952GR (date=27 Sep 2005) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate. However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully (from photographs??) and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.
I have checked in the information of your Yonex: 1) MP99 Serial No.: 5600647 Date Code: 140652AS (date=14 Jun 2005) 2) MP90 Serial No.: 5877311 Date Code: 211253JP (date=21 Dec 2005) 3) AT800OF Serial No.: 5035160 Date Code: 060743BX (date=06 Jul 2004) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, their serial nos. and date codes are legitimate. However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the rackets carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain their total legitimacy or authenticity yourself. Can't comment about your AT-500 without the serial no. and date code
I compared to my other NS8000 and it looks the same. I also compared it to the pics in this thread* and it has the right paint, cover and stickers. * = http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30716
Most fake seller will say "100% geniune" in their statement. His pics are from the catalog, which have nothing to do with the actual rackets he's going to sell. Even if he posts a real pic of an actual racket, no one can guarantee the ones he sends out is the same real one. So, if you know he has a bad record, just stay away from the deal.
If your serials are correct, then it's definitely a fake since Yonex serials are only 7 digits on the shaft ...
Does the Yonex overgrip cover the cone? An ebay seller is refusing to give me the serial number because he claims the overgrip covers it. Could this be true?
