It should interesting to watch how the lower ranked CHN players perform, after their long period of training.

    MS:
    Du Pengyu (161)
    Chen Long (213)

    MD:
He Hanbin / Sun Junjie (169)

Chen Long just won easily 21-13, 21-7 over Matthias Kuchenbecker.
2 tough matches were played at the Mixed Doubles.

Also Du Pengyu eliminated home player Markus Meffert 21-6 ; 21-2 in 17 minutes. Looks like warming-up match for them...

2009 German Open: Chen Long qualified into the main draw

    .
    The MS Qualification is over.

Du Pengyu didn't qualify. Surprise :confused::confused:
But Chen Long qualified into the main draw.

INA fans would be happy that Taufiq Hidayat Akbar qualified too. :):):)

2009 German Open: DPY to play CWF in Round 1

    .
    You are probably correct.

On the Qualification page, DPY was reported to have lost to Markus Meffet, 7-21, 1-5.
But on the Main Draw page, DPY appeared as playing Chong Wei Feng in Round 1.

Perhaps, tournamentsoftware will correct it later.

marc zwiebler withdrew due to injury at his thumb. so du pengyu promoted to maindraw. the referee stopped the match between mathieu pohl and du pengyu at 5-1 in the second set. mathieu pohl finally qualified for tomorrow, too.
i hope you can understand my bad english ;)

suetyan ... It's not DPY who was injured. It's his opponent.

But I read a news saying that, in the 2nd set, DPY was leading 5-1, he was the one who told the umpire he wanted to stop the game because last minute only he knows he can be promoted to the maindraw. I think neither DPY nor Mathieu Pohl was injured. As a result, Mathieu Pohl won the game and ensure a place in round 64 and DPY(a PFQ) also directly been promoted to round 64 due to the withdrawal of Marc Zwiebler(initially he was in the maindraw):D

It's a bad PFQ for Du PengYu as he has to meet BCL in the lat 16.If he has not been promoted to the main draw,I think he would he been able to reach semi
