Day 5 - Misc. pics.. Someone is sure having a good ol' fun time!!.. So, it's certainly possible there are those who take *badminton* pictures with a tripod!.. Someone is about to purchase a brand new pair of Yonex shoes.. What Zhu Lin was wearing to protect her pretty badly used right knee..she was limping after every match.. Zhu Lin's Li-Ning shoes.. Daaang, where did she get that and what is she eating????..looks so yum-licious!.. WOW!!..*mouth waters* The crowd, as much as the days before..not yet filled to the brim like last yr.. Ikeda, fighting all out with a red-stained knee.. Brice Leverdez, after his very hard fought match... And a few moments later..up and ready.. It was really that bad of a mismatch..well, before the 3 turned into 5.. The sponsor tag on one of the JPN WD players' shirt.. A tattoo of 2 dolphins on Yao Lei's ankle.. Eng Hian giving some post-game "review" to his charges after their loss..notice Shinta M. Sari standing closest to Eng Hian; i think she might've been the one Eng Hian is focusing on with his "review"..From what i notice, I think Eng Hian makes a pretty decent coaching material; very mature, serious and respected and can tell by how his charges respond to him talking.. While Rudy G., Tony G. and Howard discuss what in the world happened after their surprising loss vs. the CHN TPE pair..Final score, 21-16 in the last game.. 2 of team Tonami's WD players finding out a good news??.. Many thanks !! I'm so proud for Brice, that guy is the kinda players France need, and more, he's so crowd friendly in France, the people love him... Do you know her sister was my sport professor this year ? That's crazy....
..is his sister the one with a blonde hair??..with 1 or 2 kids??..i saw 3 people who kept cheering for Brice the entire week..
..then she is here following the U.S. Open..i think she came with her kid(s)..i will post the videos of them cheering Brice soon...very cool of them to come all the way here to support him!!.. *you can let her know about Brice's pictures & their videos in this forum.

day 4 pics this is the last batch. as of now i'm heading over for the finals, hopefully i'll take more account to other details rather than just action badminton photos this time.
Day 6 - Finals Day pics..XD ..first off, i just want to give a big thank you to OCBC and the U.S. Open organizer for allowing badmintoncentral.com to be a part of the action helping out in the media dept.! we definitely had a fun time documenting the event! hopefully we could return again next yr and be part of the 2011 U.S. Open excitement! and hopefully it will remain a GP Gold event! Btw, since Daylightkiller was having a blast, we decided to let him continue and take the Finals pics as well! credit to Daylightkiller for the Finals pics! XD
Day 6 - Misc. pics.. ..last few ones (hopefully they'll satisfy ants' request from last yr).. This future American Idol star belted the U.S. National anthem prior to the Finals.. About halfway through the WS match, a technical glitch occurred to the electronic scoring connection/monitor/device. Thus they had to resort to the old fashion manual scoring for at least til the end of the WS match.. Then something magical happened....the scoreboard started working again at the start of the MS match.. Some Japanese players.. GER's Michael Fuchs enjoying a banana after his win.. Judith's tattoo on her right ankle.. Judith being attended to by the tournament's doctor after the end of the 1st game..she complained of her back and was given one of those cortisone spray?? During that injury time out for Judith.. After the match ended, Judith being attended to by another medical staff & still in emotion.. You guys know the pics post is not complete without another food pic...this time it's dessert time : frozen yogurt! Yup, those balloon clappers showed up & were definitely happening!.. Special banquet...too bad none of the representatives from BC were invited.. The 2nd place trophy..complete with Tony Gunawan's outline.. Rajiv Ouseph and part of ENG squad members check out what's inside the prize box.. Winning smile.. Time to pack up and train a bit more for Brice before the Worlds in another few weeks.. Cheng Wen-hsing heavily bandaged right leg.. Our BCer harimau..either he's happy the U.S. Open is finish or he's happy to get his mug on BC for the 3rd time.. ..last few Misc. pics.. Chien Yu-chin's pair of shoes.. Pretty much a packed house, almost like last yr's Finals...it's quite surprising the crowd stayed til the end, considering most if not all of the matches weren't as interesting (all in straight games) as the Semifinals matches..
