Almost kinda expected for the INA pair. From leading 13-7 to now 13-12. Yawn...Towi/Butet never fail to lose a "comfortable lead".
This kind of performance, even if it ends up winning the match today, will not convince me that Towi/Butet can beat the Danes.
3 Things to Say 1. Now aside from China's Wang Xin, Malaysia's Woon Khe Wei, Korea's Min Jung Kim is another cutie also. It's a pity they lost to China's ZYL/QT when they were leading in both sets but couldn't seal the match anyway. I do notice that in critical moments, the koreans girls should minimize lifting the shuttle to their attacking opponents. Wasted their chances after all their hard work and court craft display. 2. I may be wrong, but does anyone else also think Chen Long's lost to Japanese Kenichi was already written even before the match ? After all it's not easy to fool the spectators by acting out in the match between LD and CL as spectators know what to expect nowadays. So to cut the arduous task of making a show, CL is to lose. 3. I think LCW's match temperament has changed from what he used to be in the sense that earlier, LCW used to play all out even from early rounds and his opponents usually only get very few points (under 10 or 15 for instance) and when reaches the final, loses steam to LD. But now, I see LCW tries to minimize peaking too early and sort of conserves himself for the final. This can be seen from all his first set matches where he plays with his opponents and gauges their abilities and sort of let the opponent think that they are playing very well by letting them get above 15 points but come 2nd set, LCW pushes up the pace and crushes them; similar the LD's style. I may be wrong but let us see what LCW can do in the final this time. It would be a dream come true for all LCW fans to win LD by a wider margin this time, if that is at all possible. (I don't think Kenichi can cause an upset against LD, no way)
But Msia one player playing with injury, I thought no problem for INA, like I said bf start, INA have the edge, they need to take the chance
Wang Yihan is no longer the inconsistent, nervous player that she was before, the last one year she has emerged mentally tougher and steadier at crucial moments, and her all-round skills make her quite a complete player now. As for Wang Shixian,if only she learns how to smash hard and accurately, the only weapon missing in her arsenal, she has the strokes and defensive ability to rise to the top again, otherwise,no. And I think Li Xuerui has surpassed her now. As for Wang Xin,once she regains her form and overcomes her fitness problem due to injury, she is my favourite;she is one of the very few women player who can attack like the men's singles, beautiful,a delight to watch always. Not forgetting the under-rated Jiang Yanjiao who alone is already a tough nut to crack for the rest of the world. That's why I'm looking to Tai Tzy Ying, Ithanon Ratchanok, Sung Ji-Hyun, perhaps one of the Japanese hopefuls to rise to the challenge, as obviously none of the usual suspects, namely Saina,Tine,Juliane, can cut it as have been shown time and time again, beating one CHN WS or at most two, only to lose to the other or the third.
