yeah..the other one is Gopiis gopichand commentating?
Lee Chong Wei will play with Tine Baun in XD for Mumbai. Interesting tactic not bringing Ivanov
Wong Wing Ki withdrew from IBL because of injury.
Actually, he is playing at Chinese national games now, he did pretty good so far there, winning 4 matches already! Pretty busy too, without any sign of injury at all !
I believe Wong's withdrawal for his low paid at auction. Comparing another Hong Kong player Hu Yun who skipped Chinese national game and playing at IBL's pay:
Hu Yun (Hong Kong) (Men's Singles) 50,000
Wong Wing Ki (H.K.) (Men's Singles) 20,000
By the way, there is no prize or payment at all at Chinese national games.
some years back, in local tournamentlee chong wei was mixed double champion partnering vivian ho against malaysia no.1 pairing of chan peng soon & goh liu yingWow, interesting stuff!!! Where u get that information? thanks.

Lee chong wei also very good in doubles during his teens...Haha yeah last year check post 525
this wouldn't be a good format because you would have to guarantee the rankings are matched at the auction. It would obviate one of the aims of IBL which is to give greater exposure to the Indian players.Forgive me if I am wrong but I am sure CBL grade players into different sections so you can only pit them against one and other. I think IBL should adopt the same for MS. So for example grade them A,B,C
A being 1-15 WR
B being 15-30 WR
C being over 30 WR
If you don't have an A to match an A you have to play a B against the A not a C and so on.![]()

In fact, in HK, we do have team competitions where the better person doesn't necessarily play at first singles/doubles. It makes for interesting tactical decisions and double guessing.
Yes, it is confusing to the layman at first. Does it make a difference? No. Can people learn a new format? Well, yes! It's not really that hard to understand.
In that case you just buy LCW and SN and you win the tournament???You don't have to make sure there is any matching, as I said if you do not have an A available you can play a B against him or a C if you want. But for men's singles 2 you can't play a higher category than you did for MS1. Simple and effective.
It is a problem because teams are paying vast amounts of money for a guaranteed win when effectively that win is cancelled out. That makes no sense and is counter productive. Looks like IBL agreed today.
Ivanov seems to be not playing today, Injured? pulled out?

Their combined price was 135K+120K out of 275K dollars and you still save some money...
I am going by LCW as a very good doubles player and I dont think SN would fair too bad either if she has LCW by her side
(since the opposition in XD as best could be JF+AP)
Whats happening ni the doubles....? Indian unheard of players leading the seasoned combination of KKK/Tan 19-12
