from today's matches, the WS is the weakest link!! Tommy is not bad, only his opponent today is Chen Long! He has the chance if plays against any MS of JP!!

Not only them, but probably Xu/Ma too. Can't see more Ma Jin in the next stage, and thanks to TA/LN for that.

I think a CHN vs. JPN final would be epic. It has all the drama and political aspect of CHN exerting power in the region and intruding to territories disputed by countries: JPN, KOREA, CHINA, Philippines and INDIA. JPN has the MS, WS and WD to match CHN.

Did she show a bad performance today? Didn't watch the match yet.

And what happened to CY and FHF?
Btw: Did you also notice that CY has gained some weight by judging his chubbier face? :D

I have posted some preliminary q-final pics in the Photos thread ... just to whet your appetite.

But you know, one day I will retire from this thing for good.

So by all means, please contribute and and continue the BC spirit of sharing and caring - ala Hard Rock Cafe slogan (Love All, Serve Alll). Except that Umpires normally say, "Love All, Play."

I think their MS/WS are not strong enough to challenge China yet. Korea has better chance to do so.

EPIC :eek: Perhaps, from political aspects.... but from badminton's point of views, KOR has more muscles to contest with CHN squad!

Not to mention that there's a good chance that THA squad will just end its journey today :p

Maybe it is bit late to introduce them now because they should try this pair in the previous match if they want to use them in the later stage. I believe CB/WH are better than CY/FHF at current form and for the future too.

As a German, I´m really proud of what we achieved here in Malaysia!! Got through the group (without our stars Schenk and Zwiebler), beat the host and gave a good fight to Korea.
What I see is that we have the weapons to threat ROW, but the consistency and stamina on the highest level lacks. On the other hand our biggest advantage is the team spirit ;) I think Germany is on a good way (even the current team isn´t the youngest anymore).

When I watched the results i had a big smile that Ina stole two points. Tantowi and Lilyiana are inform and therefore I hoped they will make this first point. The other "good" chance was the MD and they took it (still a nice suprise the youngsters beat the OG champions :) ).
The other points would have been the biggest upset in a long time, so I believe Ina will be quite pleased with their performance (tough luck on the QF draw).

Now rooting for Korea and Denmark. Well, Den first has to survive the QF. Thailand vs. Japan would be also interesting to watch, Japan is the slight favourite...
Korea and Denmark will threat China in XD, MD and WD imo (and Korea in WS). Still a very, very tough task to overcome China as ususal. I hope for the best :ppp

MD is the key. Who win it will most likely go on to win the match and LXL/QZH will be the best pair for China at the moment.

INA team made the competition a thrill. But how can the INA fans be satisfied? The Singles, specially MS, are the prestigious discipline. And no one to replace TH, or even Sony! Simon is never there!

Aha! The first imvolvement of Harry Potter. If TPE could take the first match - we can go right down to the wire.

Loose play from TPE pair - not enough training together,
