LCW as Malaysia's #1 or Lin Dan as China's #1 would not have failed like this, lol. Chen Long does not have the consistency as LCW or LD. At least now things are interesting. If China wins this, it will be a dog fight. But Japan has a very good chance now to take this men's doubles match.

No. LYB would never take risks like that. That's bad coaching.

the same I am thinking too! But if that's the case, they are expecting their MD to win. What if Japan beat them 3-0?!!

I'm still seeing nothing but rows and rows of empty seats, and at the SF stage, too! I don't think the situation will be much improved this evening or over the weekend, either. How utterly embarrassing! No more major tournaments for India, please.

What's wrong with him is he met Tago and got dominated from the off, then ran out of ideas. China coached out CL all out attack mode and that is all that would have taken him back into the fold today.

I am seeing this possibility, because if Japan wins the first MD, China will be like "OH ****"..... because MS2 is Du Pengyu versus Momota.... and I can see Momota winning....

Lin Dan once lost to Lee CW in 2008 Thomas Cup semifinal tie but at that time CHN had solid squad, Cai/Fu, Bao CL, Chen J delivered three winning points.

It appears TS is buckling under the stress!
Meanwhile, BC is purring supremely serenely, thanks to Kwun's expert administrations.

This would be a great opportunity for Chai Biao/Hong Wei, Du Pengyu and Zhang Nan (not so much Fu Haifeng who's been there and done that) to learn how to handle their nerves and pressure, thereby toughening themselves up instead of always having a good start from the opening match.
