2014 Victor KOREA Open SS : SEMIFINALS & FINALS (11th & 12th January 2014)

Don't forget Bao YX/Tang JH whose amazing run continues, also progressing to the final for the umpteenth time in SS/GPGs winning most of them.

And the other up-and-coming WD pair from CHN to watch is the twin Luo sisters who won the INA GPG last Sep'13 and now gunning for their first SS title tomorrow for which they would have to overcome their compatriots Bao/Tang. En route to the final, Luo Ying/Luo Yu disposed of all their opponents in two straight sets, including the JPN 2nd seed, Misaki/Ayaka.

Will CHN make a clean sweep tomorrow ? We shall see.
The twin Luo Ying / Luo Yu are also doing well playing for Qin Dao in the CBSL, with Ratchanok as one of their team mates.

Why did they scheduled the MS before XD? My baddy session only finish at 1.00pm.
Guess I have to leave early.

Without the help of patriotic linesmen, no Korean make it to final...

I was really at a loss for words at the line call against Ratchanok for the final point (?) in the match with Sung. Absolutely disgusting!

We should all hope that no Korean will ever make it into a final at the Korean Open for fairness' sake.

Agree. Ratchnok's game is more effective against LXR, WYH, and then WSX in that order. Needless to say she need to be consistently competitive against these 3 Chinese phenoms, if she were to be number 1 and Olympic champion. Then one has to add Korean Sung, Taipei TTY, and (in the near future) Yamaguchi.

u might have different thoughts:)
she yet to beat wang yi han.
all the best and i hope ratchanok will break the duck tomorow:D

I am not denying the historic facts posted in the table. Just wanted to point out who she needs to try to beat if she wants to be at the top going forward. Hadn't I called them Chinese phenoms? The betting websites gave her a 36% chance of winning tomorrow. I think it may be a little bit more than that.

For me its 60/40 to RI to win as she seems to have got back her hunger and
gunning to kick off 2014 with a winning start - and the big price money is an
added motivator!
It will be a 3 setter and an awesome world class match to boot.

You're probably trying to watch BWF stream from a blocked country, where media rights have been sold to local stations. To bypass the block, you have to use Stealthy plug in with Chrome browser.

The korean players did not ask the line judges to call against their opponents.

Heard from Gillian commented that the shuttles are a bit slow.... so that would be a disadvantage to attacking player like LCW... :crying:

how come all 4 WD players wear similar black knee support on one knee? is it intentional? it's just one of the Luos wears it on her right knee, anyone knows if it's Yu or Ying?

not sure if the audience will clap for chen long later?
the ladies receive applause despite their nationality.:)
