I wish I could, but i'll be lost finding the way to the stadium. Did you see the spare tyre around Chayut's waist? He looks so cute, especially with a small goatee. I wonder how long he could last tomorrow...haha. I better stick to my reliable TV just like you.
I was very near to him when I was there yesterday watching his match against JPN. Yup, he is a big guy and I am worried for him because in time to come, his knees won't be able to take the weight. Usually a short career for people of this physique.
I agree that finding my way to this "new" stadium instead of the "usual" stadium near the "Custom Checkpoint" has stopped me supporting this event for the SF. Yesterday, I was in JB and tried my luck at the"usual" stadium and found out they were hosting a Wushu competition. I went to a badm shop nearby and the lady gave me direction on how to get the the badm venue. After her direction, I decided not to try my luck again. Luckily, TV2 was showing Live badm yesterday.
Well done SG MD (CT/DB) for reaching the final. I believe they have a chance against LKW/GVS. CT/DB used to play together and to me, they seems to have a very powerful and good attacking play. Good luck to SG MD in today's Final, much will depends on how LKW holds his nerve.
The way to the stadium is very easy. It's highway (and straight) all the way from the checkpoint to the stadium and you pass only one, believe me, one traffic light!! As you exit from the checkpoint building, immediately keep left that shows to KL/Pasir Gudang (this is the EDL highway), not right which is the route to the old stadium. On the EDL highway, take the 2nd exit that shows Pasir Gudang and keep right all the way. You will pass by Permas Jaya and after Permas Jaya you will come to a traffic light. Go straight and after 8 to 9 km you can see the buntings and you have reach. To go back, take the opposite direction to the checkpoint. The lady probably want to keep you in her shop to get some business.
Firda what nice comeback from you after series of injury and dropping of ranking. I watched her beat Nozomi yesterday an I think she played well. But I think that is not enough to beat Xue Yao today, so do your best
Ina best chance to grab title is from Jordan/Debby, not sure about Simon but hopefully he can play better than in semis
All Bcers welcome to Pasir Gudang. Doesn't matter supporting which players. I don't have any issue because stay at PG (take 5 minutes only to the stadium from my house - how lucky I am Ha3). See u all today...cheer..(Cheer for Goh/Lim)
Realistically, INA should be able to win at least 1 title today from Simon Santoso, given his 1-0 H2H against Sourabh Varma. But the Indian player benefits from not having to play yesterday whereas Simon was stretched to 3 full-sets by the Thai player. As for Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto, the chance of winning their first title as a pair remains 50-50 against the young CHN pair (as always). I do hope they can kickstart their partnership with this MAS GPG title! In the WS, Adrianti Firdasari already surprises most of INA fans by progressing through the Final....in what is her first final in ages! Her chance against Yao Xue is about 40-60 I reckon and I will be extremely thrilled if she can win her first GPG title as an independent player.
That's what I predicted earlier but Firda blew JPN talent in straight-sets, what a surprise and so happy to watch Firda played really well yesterday, best luck to Firda I watched LIVE broadcast through Star Sports, but based on NET TV schedule they will telecast LIVE today, started from 01.00 WIB FINALS (02.00pm) : 01) Yu Xiaohan/Huang Yaqiong (CHN) v Ou Dongni/Xiong Mengjing (CHN) 02) Adrianti Firdasari (INA) v Yao Xue (CHN) 03) Simon Santoso (INA) v Sourabh Varma (IND) 04) Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto (INA) v Lu Kai/Huang Yaqiong (CHN) 05) Danny Bawa Chrisnanta/Chayut Triyachart (SIN) v Goh V Shem/Lim Khim Wah (MAS) CHN once again shows their dominance through in WD discipline. INA will try to win title through 1 Pelatnas XD plus 2 independent players, both Simon and Firda rejuvenate their career to enter last round here. Goh/Lim will keep home fans cheering, looks like they have bright chance to retain MD title.
I hope next time there will be a high speed train or MRTs as in Singapore that connects to all your popular stadiums. Then more Singaporeans without their own cars will feel more confident to travel northwards even right up to Malacca, KL, Kedah and Penang.
Ou Dongni's small size belies her ability, equally adept in offense, defense and setting up; she really packs a punch when she smashes.
The first time I saw Ou Dongni was when she partnered Tang Yuanting, the big girl who created a sensation with Ma Jin at the AE early this month - she looked puny standing beside TYT then. At least today among the four, she doesn't look that small but still a bit too thin; maybe she should try and bulk up though it won't be easy considering the kind of training regimen these players undergo, not to mention their innate constitutions(some people just find it hard to put on weight, and ODN could be one such).
From 8-3 up, ODN/XMJ allow their opponent to level up 9-all but managed to keep the lead 11-9 after all in G2.
