Certainly not a good performance from the Korean pair today. Looks like both didn't try hard enough to win today.

To be fair, despite China MD rarely winning titles these last few years, they've always had very close fights in the quarters, semis, and finals. It's long overdue that they win a relatively big title.

On the other hand, I believe that LYD/YYS have gone down a level compared to a couple of years ago. The Olympics MD tournament will be very unpredictable. The most interesting part of it has to be Ahsan/Setiawan vying to become the greatest clutch pair in sporting history. But I'll believe it when I see it - Ahsan/Setiawan have drawn the "Royal Flush" hand so often that their "luck" must be completely gone now.

If they do that, Vladimir Ivanov would need to crouch down in order to serve...

Sorry, I thought for Hawk-Eye it's the technology that makes the call and the referee simply reviews it and present it on the screen to indicate the result, i.e. the referee is not the one to decide, the Hawk-Eye cameras do the work; that's why once in a blue moon it returns a "no decision" call when it's outside it's degree of accuracy. CMIIW.

Chai Biao and Hong Wei are getting smarter, learning quite a bit from their KOR, INA, JPN and MAS as well as DEN opponents.

Hopefully in near future there will be more providers of such "hawk-eye" technology to make it much cheaper and better... right now only provided by the Hawk Eye Technology, a company owned by Sony.

notice the usage of this tech in badminton, tennis and volleyball
