If they do that, Vladimir Ivanov would need to crouch down in order to serve...yes, they should, for example, standardize it at 110cm and let a smartphone decides if it is above 110cm. Should be very simple for a smartphone to perform.

Sorry, I thought for Hawk-Eye it's the technology that makes the call and the referee simply reviews it and present it on the screen to indicate the result, i.e. the referee is not the one to decide, the Hawk-Eye cameras do the work; that's why once in a blue moon it returns a "no decision" call when it's outside it's degree of accuracy. CMIIW.you know that the current hawk eye system is for the second umpire to review the hawk eye HD replay and made a decision based on that.
same can be done with the service calls
VERY WELL SAID... just to make known to the world his or her (mostly 'his') existence!!Sounds good but who or what to arbitrate? The umpire, unlikely, Hawk-Eye, technologically not up to it yet.
You know, I sometimes imagine the service judge feeling bored or daydreaming and sometimes wakes up to make a service fault call just to make his presence felt, his sitting there so comfortably. For me, I'd be a bit worried about being accidentally hit by the shuttle though that's never happen before, I believe (maybe once ?).![]()
No wonder it's called shuttlecock when it's made of cork and feathers.VERY WELL SAID... just to make known to the world his or her (mostly 'his') existence!!lol
You know, it's very boring to babysit those dumb shuttle cocks.... ha ha ha ... please share your emphaty every one![]()

i'm almost 100% certain that the computer didnt made the decisions. again, someone CMIIW.
one tell tale sign is that some decisions took longer time than the other to made, computer wouldnt do that, would it?
Yes, u are correct. There was an article on this issue. Don't remember where/when I saw it..
