Wanted to ask if the Japanese WS coach is sho sasaki. It is him. Sent from my MI NOTE LTE using Tapatalk
Goh Jin Wei lacks accuracy, sending so many shuttle wide and, sometimes long. Saena despite her small build moves very well and has a good attack, her smash from the baseline is quite effective.
The 22-yr-old Wang Tuz Wei plays a very physical game, so does Chou Tien Chen who , however, at age 27, is forced to slow down a little bit as it is physically demanding. Besides, opponents with very capable defenses can sap a lot of your energy.
CTC's greater experience and familiarity with WTW's game might give him the edge as it did in their previous meeting.
WTW attacks every half chance and always wants to keep the shuttle down, lifting only when necessary as well as going for tight net shots to force the opponent's lifts. I'm sure CTC is fully aware of that.
CTC feels he has to play the perfect shot as WTW is so quick. Playing WTW demands a lot of your fitness, apart from good stroke play, esp if you don't have a powerful attack and excellent defense.
WTW is retrieving so well, he is so fast on his feet and his reflexes so quick, most players will begin to feel the strain as the rally wears on, sometimes caving in. Playing WTW makes you feel that professional badminton is a young man's game.
I wonder if WTW is risking injury playing such a physical game and going for every shot without letting it get away. I doubt he can do that for too long in his career, at most five years, and that's long enough if he can get the titles he wants
Let's see if Wang Tzu Wei can do better than his senior teammate, Chou Tien Chen, who at age 27 now only has 1 SS title and 6 GPG/GP titles to his name so far.
