I feel for Camilla, as it is her last Olympics. I hope she can change her mind, and at least go for one last World Championships at Anaheim. She does look tired on court though, and tired of badminton. It's a shame she can not end her illustrious career on a higher note. If you think that Taufik has a chance at a medal, Ronald Susilo used to beat Taufik consistently back when they used to train together, so there is no denying his ability. It seems the Olympics is favouring the unheralded players.
You don't know Logosz Mateuziak, second time in OG, 5 years in the top 20 and 3 times bronze medalist in EC !!!! OPEN YOUR EYES!!!!
Actually I was being sarcastic . Full credit to the Polish no.1s. I am just dissapointed to see one of my favourite players, and one that has the potential to take a Gold medal, bow out so early on.
Yes they did!!! But it's worth being here, the atmosphere is brilliant in the Goudi Hall, especially the Spanish who gave full and passionate support to Llopis and Crespo in a very difficult match against Lee and Yoo of Korea.
They just cut the whole match into 1/2, and the match they picked wasn't even exciting. NBC should've pick other games......higher seeding games. Plus, I was very upset that NBC changed the schedule for this morning's match. They put the match (WS?) 30 minutes earlier than the schedule that I saw yesterday, and by the time I opened the TV, it was already long gone!! Plus they just use the too much of time to show swimming, soccer, and basketball. Watching fragments of badminton games wasn't very nice
it was reasonable for them to pick a US contestant, imho. it was just bad luck that their opponents were quite weak and the match was rather dull. they will be up against Eriksen/Lundgaard next, i think. that will be a much more exciting match and i certainly look forward to that one. i think it will be a white-wash of the US pairing but that's a good thing. the match will attract some Americans to watch the match and then show them how it is supposed to be done. to be honest, i find Han rather unimpressive but Howard Bach was quite good.
Sorry not yet, I'm on the PC in the hotel, but I have the pics on my camera so I'll post them when I get home.
I thought the US support was excellent, there were more of them, and they were more vocal, than a lot of the European countries who didn't have so far to come.
