90k Vs 90k Metallic

I can't seem to find a thread on this. I was wondering if anyone has played with both or know that actual difference.

I was a 90k user and thought the 90k II was a disaster and not worth switching. So I stuck with my OG 90k until I went to TKFE. But considering going back to try the 90k Metalic.

Can't really seem to find a direct comparison anywhere and I don't have the ability to test rackets at will.

I have both in 3U, strung with BG 65Ti at 29lbs. I’ve never interested in the freecore handle so I can’t compare those with the 2nd generation. The metallic version is definitely stiffer, but somehow I feel that the head is lighter than the original 90k. Swing faster, need sometimes to adjust my swing to fit with it. Defend was easier, drive snap on the shuttle very well, but a bit lack of power when it comes to attacking unlike the 1st version. Those are noticeable differences I can tell for now.

some people are saying that 90k metallic is slightly head heavier than original based on measurements. can you confirm how you checked which one is heavier? im very curious since i am looking for slightly head lighter than original 90k and hope this is the one

Metallic is def slightly heavier but you don't really feel it; it's very subtle. The KII was honestly not very good in my opinion and didn't really focus on the aspects that make the ARS series good (its speed ofc)

Hello everyone,

Can u compare 90k metallic and 90k 2 ?
I know 90k metallic is stiffer. But what else ? (balance point, power, precision..)

Thank you in advance !

The 90K2 is also more head heavy and feels less precise on shots. It kind of drifts away from the ARS category and feels more like a power racket than a speed racket.

Okay I understand now. Thank you !
So it would be comparable to TKFU maybe ?
Did you play with the TKFU ?
