    Hey there.

I never thought of this but does different heat affect the tension/potential of the string/rackets ?

Secondly, My racket recently went to be restrung today and the stringer asked me whether i wanted my racket to be strung with this sort of 'gap' near the bottom of the frame where it looks like a string is missing or something. He said something about more power. Is this true ?

    1. I think that the hotter the weather the faster the string loose tension.

    2. From what I heard, taking 1 line of string near the bottom part is just moving the sweetspot, and personally i think that it is quite useful and make it more forgiving during mishits

i believe its the progressing effect of moving from heat - cold - heat - cold condition where the string is subject to expand and contract and expand.. and the string will end up losing part of its flexiblity and getting strecthed and losing tension. Thats why I tend to avoid leaving my rackets in the trunk
over nite and try to keep them in room tempeture.

Yep summer stinging should be tighter than winter stringing from what I understand as hot and humid reduces your chance of string breakage.
