Chen Long is playing with no intensity, like it's a practice match - as if he's meeting a long-lost friend, ' Long time no see, how about a beer?'

You can't just "Chen Long" against Chen Long. You need to do something extra, just going on and on, will do no good to you in the scoreline on the contrary will sap out extra energy every stroke.
LHIl either restrategize or say bbye to AUS

No doubt in my mind that SrikanthKidambi is the most exciting MenSingle to watch now considering how boring MS matches. He doesnt play like big players like Chou/Angus/Yuqi or play defensively like Son/Chen.
"Big players"?? You mean "ralliers" who rely on their steam in the tank?
Imo SYQ resembles SWH more than CTC or Ng for that matter. But, if only he had a defense like SWH/CL
Also, he lacks urgency to match CTC and on court presence of mind to match Ng KLA
But, a little more experience and a lil more urgency to charge at the net, he can surely outplay at least 2 of the 4 mentioned.

Chen Long is really pushing his luck, barely surviving G1 by the narrowest of margin, 26-24. If he's not careful, LHI might just pip him at the finishing line.

And you people doubt to count him in the "trio" can anybody atm just toy around with Mr evergreen all the way down to the wire with even less than 50% commitment yet win when he felt "practice was done".

I think Chen long is so pleased with his win against Lin Dan yesterday, he thought the tournament is over. Today, after a good night sleep, he woke up and was reminded he has a match later, and he went, 'What?'

LHI is sponsored by Apacs. Will the racquet sales go up and will his sponsorship increase for reaching the SF of an SS?

quite enjoying the CL-LHI match. would have liked to see LD-LHI too!
lovely set of fixtures these couple of days. no complaints at all :)
not going to miss NO-AY tomorrow.

CL testing the drifts of all the 4 corners for tomorrow? What's on his mind?
He wanna win? I doubt
It is also difficult to predict LHI's shots. CL strategy is to tire him up and attack later, if needed. But it could be tricky if it goes to game three. I just love watching LHI's errorfree simple game, which just makes the opponent run and tires him in the end.

Once you let your opponent settles comfortably into his rhythm, it quite a bit of effort to break it; Chen Long asks for it, his stupid habit of old. Looks like Chen Long is only most focused, serious and single-minded when he's playing either Lin Dan or LCW.

Chen Long nearly blew it, his athleticism and agility saved him in the end. Still, his old 'weakness' is a concern, sometimes when he's caught in a bind, he doesn't know how to free himself, not a very smart player, unlike Lin Dan and Lee CW.

Once again, the Evergreen Lee Hyun Il proves himself still a force to be reckoned with at his ripe 'old age' of 37, not to be trifled with. Nobody would dare to mess with him, not even LD and LCW, I believe.

Hats off to the ever phenomenal Lee Hyun Il. Incredible player.

But that probably was a good strategy against a player like LHI. No matter what the score is or how close the match was, other strategies had a high chance of failing.

2 back to back three setters for CL against the legends.. Must be tiring and could be factor in the final.

Kamura/Sonoda are not going to make the same mistake as Li/Liu when playing Lu/Yang in engaging in fast flat exchanges too much.
