Too hard to say. I think it's more important for China that LD wins this and consolidates his world no. 2 position. THW should have already gained enough ranking points by making the final to lift him up a bit.

Wait for the outcome from the panel first.

By the way guys, what level would you say Asia Championships is at? Between Super Series and Super Series Premier? Or even less?

You don't see an Iranian playing at SS let alone a SSP.
No offence to the Iranian player.

Well, what about Olympics and World Champs? That doesn't mean they are not considered majors right?

Very positive display by Tian Houwei, so persistent and determined to go for it.

Well world no.1 Saina is here, WD no. 1 Matsumoto/Takahashi is here, MD no. 1 LYD/YYS is here, MS no. 1 Chen Long is present until QF. Super Series is enough. I wouldn't go as far as to compare it to a Premier since there's also a lot of very good players outside Asia that can't play here.

Lin Dan cannot play like this against Chen Long. He would lose. 17-16, wasted a good lead.

No, I was asking in general, and gave the examples of SS and SSP. Sorry for not being clearer.

Wow, 7 straight points by THW to level it at 17-17.

And takes the lead 18-17 with 8 straight points.

Tough fight now 17 all. I shouldn't have bet so early on Lin Dan to win the match.

A year is a long time. Tian H and Wang Z would try hard to challenge Lin Dan. Next year's All England will
give an idea of how they have progressed.
