He Bingjiaqo wins G1 convicingly, 21-12, and now she's trailing badly, 8-17 in G2. So inconsistent.

And He Bingjiao drops G2 just as easily, 12-21, but comes back strongly in G3 , 19-7 at one stage before easing off a little to nail it , 21-14. That's He Bingjiao for you.

Two badminton powerhouses CHN and INA top their respective groups with different fashion, China toppled Chinese Taipei, 5-0 while Indonesia edged past Malaysia, 3-2.

CHN squad only dropped two games in overall performance against TPE. Chen Qingchen contributed two points through first and last tie with her partner Zheng Siwei and Jia Yifan respectively. He Bingjiao needed three games to down Lee Chia Hsin, earlier Zhang Nan/Liu Cheng also lost second game to Chen Hung Ling/Wang Chi Lin. Another winning point for China was delivered by Shi Yuqi who conquered Hsu Jen Hao in two straight-games.

At court 1, team Indonesia managed 2-0 lead after Nayaka/Yusuf and Gregoria Mariska defeated their opponents in rubber games. Then Lim Chi Wing delayed their neighbour victory to dispose Firman Abdul Kholik. WD scratch pair Anggia Shitta Awanda/Tiara Rosalia Nuraidah guaranteed crucial point for INA to be group winner and avoid strong teams at knock-out stage, Asia's big three, CHN-JPN-KOR. In last tie, Goh Soon Huat/Shevon Jemie Lai minimize the losing, dumped Edi Subaktiar/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja.

Khosit Phetpradab and Kenta Nishimoto, two young future stars in the making duked it out and in the end the former pipped the latter to the finishing line, 22-20, in the decider.

India test their bench strength and rest some key players! Tanvi Lad didn't make it past the QF in the Senior Nationals. She shouldn't have been picked. Even Aakarshi Kashyap would have put up a better fight. Satwik/Chirag got some much needed match exposure. They put up a good fight in game 2. Doubles is our weakness and we are clearly a level below the powerhouse nations. We have to be patient as they gradually improve.
