Hi
I have been playing badminton for 4 years in Bulgaria. I moved to UK 2 years ago and now I decided to start playing badminton again. I live in Lewisham, SE London. I would like to join team that does training 2 3 time a week. Can you suggest me any clubs around my area?

Thanks in advance

silly me I did a search and found Warwick Park Badminton Club in Dulwich..:p
however, are there anymore clubs around this area? Preferably within walking distance from Forest Hill.. Any cheap weekdays club for visitors (I think Warwick Park is slightly expansive for me.. £7.50)
Cheers

Did a search on badmintonengland.co.uk.. found another club close by call Jags Badminton Club, however can't find a website for it.. anyone heard of this club? If you know anything about it please let me know :) Thank you

apologies

the club has a general contact number, just ask about badminton. ive been there only a few times a good while ago so not too familiar with names and numbers but i remember it costs about £4-5 for 3 hrs on sundays but ull need to check for any changes.

cheers

please let me know the details whether any of you guys are still having casual badminton session, thank you for your attention!

Hi Simp84

If you are interested in another club in the S.E., try Parkside , they play in Eltham Green Sports College, Middle Park Avenue,SE9 5EQ ,
on Tuesday 8-10pm ( All abilities ) Fridays 8.30 - 10.30pm (Advanced) and Sundays 10am - noon ( All abilities )
All sessions have a coach present, there is as much or as little coaching depending on your experience,
they have 4 courts,
they play with feathers
no invitation needed, just turn up and introduce yourself, it's a very friendly club as it started life as a pay and play so all are welcomed
it's £5 for the 2 hour session, this includes the shuttles.
if you like the club, then it's a £30 annual membership, which you can pay over 6 weeks
If you are interested, just turn up for either the Tuesday or Sunday sessions.

Hi, if you are in the Lewisham area, then Parkside is located at Eltham Geen School on the junction of a205 and a210 in midle park avenue, should be just a short hop on the bus. We have a beginner's session on Tuesdays from 8pm to 10pm, another class for all on Sunday morning 10 am to 12, we also have a session on a friday night for intermediate/advance from 8.30pm - 10.30pm. Visitor's fee is £7.50 per session, if you become a member, (for £30 ) the fees drop to £5 per session.
We are a friendly club, so why not come along to see if it'll suit you.

Hiya,

Is this club still going on? How can I get there by public transport from london bridge or mansion house? I just move to london from South Yorkshire and live in SE1, nearby the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, is there any badminton club in south bankside area? Cheers.
